Small correction The bama cookout is the next day on the 28th.

But I believe he will be at both, as a matter of fact basically anyone going to one is going to the other. Cunningham will be at both for instance. Just like Ryan Williams last year they just want to hang out and enjoy the events.

I'd still only read into it if someone does one and doesn't show up for the other.

Remember that auburn recruiting gurus think they will get everyone. Until they don't, then someone cheated.
Poke, let's hope you're assessment is correct.

Not saying they aren't pushing for him or that they can't flip him. But this happens every year with an instate recruit who likes to make visits. And we know the "reliability" of auburn insiders.

Its one we will have to keep recruiting but thats no different from anyone else in the class.
Iike i said if he makes it to Tuscaloosa for the cookout then its business as usual

If he doesn't and we seem to make other plans at safety that'll be the sign to worry.

TJ, remember these kids don't think logically all the time.
Agreed SJC but he was one of our earlier commits and think he sticks. When he committed they said the staff was fighting for him on offense and defense and I think if he said he wants to start at WR they would let him. He is dynamic with the ball his hands but I think his future is at safety.

We want kids that want to be in Tuscaloosa, not Lilliput…see ya little brother!
Not how it works any more. There’s fewer and fewer, especially when people can back up the brinks truck to your door.

I’m the loyal sort myself, but nobody has offered me a couple hundred thousand dollars to cheer for someone other than Alabama.

I saw this morning we were now after the brother, Erick Smith. 6-6, 190 WR. Only currently offers were the likes of Alabama A&M/State. Feels like taking a flyer on the “less talented” brother to get Derrick back.

I don't either but with the new 105 limit it doesn't really hurt in this case.
We will likely see a lot more of this with the 105. Scholarshipped walk-ons essentially. Probably not as big of a deal now like it was when Stallings would offer the buddy to get the stud, and only get the buddy.

I would wager there’s a reason his offers have been A&M and State. I don’t know anything about him . I agree, 6-6 receivers are few. If DeBoer really wants the kid and believes he can make him a star, by all means, sign him up!

and since the scholarship numbers are going up to 125 in the near future, there's space for a few more flyers.

I am not sure if your statement is hyperbole, making fun of the way the NCAA is just changing the rules to make up for dumb previous decisions like the government raising the debt ceiling. (i.e. there are 1,000 kids in the portal with nowhere to play so we will just let each team keep 20 more kids.) I think, though, the scholarships are going up to 105.

105 is correct.
