This is obviously great news. Based on his recent visit, what Jaylen Mbakwe said and what Poke is reporting he will be back in Ttown this weekend I am feeling very optimistic. Looks like DeBoer and WR coach appears to have made an impression and his close relationship with some commits and players may sway him in our direction.

DeBoer, lots of yards for WR's.

Freeze with no QB.....lack of yards for WR's.

That's really the question a kid needs to ask himself...do you want to be the king of the state and rack up huge yards.....or go have lots of nothing thrown your way at the Barn.
those factors didn't stop Coleman and Thompson from committing. both were " committed" to other schools prior to them flipping to the barn.
we know why they came, but they still came regardless.

I share SJC's wait and see attitude. I think the guy will be great wherever he goes, but the longstanding smoke around him flipping to Auburn late makes me wonder.

I'm wondering how much RW's personality causes you to feel unsure about him?

He seems to always have a smile/grin no matter what he's talking about. Compared to Julio Jones, Jones was as serious as they come, but if I recall he held out to the last moment between Bama and OK.

FWIW, I know he's flirted with Auburn so I get the concern.

I suspect that he won’t spend three years at whatever school he signs with. Just too much cash and light being thrown at a still 16year old. If he is able to keep his head straight, he’ll be a special person.
I don’t think his stock can be any higher than it is now. With that said, I believe he will stay at Bama for 3 years if he signs with Bama. IMO

Look -
I see it like this. First of all, Mbakwe saying what he said ain’t just “some player talking”. He and RW are tight and have been - I think a lot longer than a few months.
Texas has more money than God - so it ain’t about money.
Sark’s offenses have at least equaled if not surpassed Sleaze’s. He has two five-stars to chunk it. Sleaze has….?
I wish somebody would tell me how many times RW has been to Ttown. And looks like one more coming up.
If he flips to the Barn, it would be a colossal “play”. I’ve never gotten the sense from anyone around here indicating he’s that type, but I don’t know him. Mbakwe does. Would RW “play” him too? Surely he (JM) wouldn’t be in on it.
No one knows but RW. He’s going to go where he feels most comfortable.

His dad played at Auburn. That's in the back of my mind. Different era though. But he sure has spent a lot of time in Tuscaloosa.

Starting to feel pretty good about him. Would keep an eye on his QB KJ Lacy as well. I have a feeling we get the pair.
Lacey, who is currently a '25 Texas commit, is very interesting. Especially after losing Underwood and McIntire. I think DeBoer's offense is going to be extremely attractive to both QB's and WR's.

I'm holding out hope for JuJu Lewis. But I'd take Lacey too
