Just my personal bias , but I think it’s REAL , if not critically, important to hang onto the O and D linemen.

I can’t agree with you more. Probably my biggest concern with this class is lack of D linemen. I guess the portal may be the way they look to go.

Edit: oh I see now you meant Haywood. I heard he was 100% locked in, so maybe this is just noise. Not everyone is all about money, so hopefully Haywood isn't.

For clarity supposedly um is offering a large nil sum....we will have to get used to hearing that from every program about all of our recruits for the next two weeks.
Im not certain how successful that move will be given that the staff will be gone in a year or two.

Agreed. This is the time the purse strings really open up so there may be some carnage but there may not. We just have to see what happens. No matter what happens this is going to be a very talented class.
The good news is, he hasn't visited Michigan even once, and he's running out of time to do so, especially with the Ohio State game being in Columbus. I think we hang onto him unless he doesn't sign on early signing day. Just not enough time to do all that.

So with Underwood de committing from LSU, any chance we get back in on WR Derek Meadows out of Las Vegas? I know we pretty high on his list at one point before committing to LSU.
Did anyone look to see who's Underwood's new coach is for playoff?

Heard Michigan upped their bid to $12m to get Underwood. I'm sure they still have more in the kitty for Meadows and Haywood but I can't imagine it is near as much as they paid Underwood. Fingers crossed Haywood keeps his commitment and signs with Bama.
I heard a national recruiting guy recently say Carroll throws people around and is incredibly physical with good feet. He plays against very good competition at IMG. With us losing both guards to the NFL he may can be a plug and play if he gets the playbook down and adjusts well to greater competition.
That's why I said Carroll was going to be okay and not to worry about him.
