2026 Recruiting: 2026 5* QB Faizon Brandon

I don't like posting '26 recruits this early but this is the #1 QB and #1 overall player by 247. He is down to 4 teams and is announcing in early August. May be a Tenn/Bama battle but I have not heard much about him so not sure.

just a hunch, 2026 is far away and I don't think he sticks with Vols. when you're the top QB and one of the top players in any class, the recruitment process is never smooth.

Especially if we beat the brakes off of them in Knoxville and their year doesn't go as planned. It's a loooooong way until he has to put his name on any papers that matter.

That does not always factor in. Poor performance on the field translates to early playing time.

Not all HS kids think like that either. Some do, some don't. A lot of HS kids see losing as signs of the program "going down". We just don't know from recruit to recruit. It never hurts to beat the brakes off of them.

Depends on the kid. If early playing time is his main factor , he will go wherever. I think some of these kids going to Auburn are focusing on how quickly I can hit the field. I like players that focus on development and the bigger picture. Makes for a much better football team.
