Link: 2026 Transfer Portal

Three plus years into full transfer portal chaos, and it’s still hard for me to wrap my head around treating the players like NFL players, but I guess that’s where I’ve got to get to be emotionless when it comes to roster management. Can’t have feelings one way or another when a player leaves regardless of whether it’s a 3rd string player or two year starter.
When you have over 2000 players in the transfer portal already and expecting that to double, you have no choice but to treat them this way. The players are looking to maximize current money and paying time.

This would make sense. Defense showed out big time and investing on DL, and maybe OLB as well would go long way for the defense for next year. The offense as a whole isn't really a big issue, just OL. Grab 2-3 OLs and one more RBs (if the rumors are true) Offense all of suddenly upgraded.

Losing Carter hurt.... but lot of people don't realize he got passed up.
See i disagree somewhat. I agree with spending to attract game changing DL everybody is doing that.

However, I think we need to spend enough on OL to get 1st and 2nd string depth and we have neither. We are not going to fix our problem with just 2-3 OL. We need 8-10 OL fitting our style asap.

We need a new OL coach as well. If he stays, that says a lot.

our offense will also be significantly upgraded when our receivers can consistently catch the ball

It was encouraging to see Ryan Williams play so well in the Rose Bowl. I was proud of him. I've been very hard on him this season. But I'm a coach, so that's in my blood. But I am very proud of the progress I saw in the Rose Bowl.

That’s a truth for sure.

It’s infuriating and on par with making or missing FTs in Basketball.

You Concentrate and practice it until you can’t get it wrong.
our one-dimensional offense would have been a bit more effective. so many drives were killed this year with dropped balls.

i don't think we would have ultimately won the re-match, but the seccg would likely have been a much more competitive game had horton held onto that first down catch the play before ty's interception. that interception opened the floodgates of uga derp and we rolled up into a ball

Had to pay him more money after riding the bench so he didn’t go to ole miss (tampering) then switched to wr and went further down the depth chart. Bet wherever he goes they switch him back to d
Paid him 1 million extra in NIL for 45 meaningless snaps and a muffed punt. Over 20k a snap. Pretty good gig if you can get it.

Class of 2026: Signed 5 OLs.
Class of 2025: Signed 6 OLs: Dewberry is a Transfer.
Class of 2024: Those are Sabans' guy. The OLs you seeing in portal are part of 2024. There is depth. CKD is rebuilding the depth for OL by looking at the last two cycles of the recruiting. That's pretty much 10 players. So that's why I said just grab 2-3 players...

Random thoughts-

I can’t be mad at Richard Young for entering the portal. His recruiting Prowess was second to none.

Had Mbakwe stayed on defense, he could possibly be an All SEC player now.

I expect Austin Mack to hit the portal. He put enough on tape to get a pretty good offer.
DeBoer if anything knows QBs. if Mack leaves, we have Thomalla coming in and Kaawa who I think is very underrated. Seaborn is coming in 2027 who I suspect will be the top QB before it's over.

and to your point, the OL recruiting has been stelar under DeBoer, it's the coaching and development that is an issue!!

Watched him in early outs and it was great to see his work ethic in the early outs period. He was out there working as long as everyone and was working on catching and taking hits across the arms. It is easy to hang your head after the year he has had, but to have the competitive character to keep working says a great deal about him as a player and as a person. And I know his play/nil/future depends on this, but there are plenty of 20 year olds who don't do what it takes.

Making some changes within the coaching staff will do that.

But, but; he is only 18
