There's another PG.

I'm not sure how viable he would be if we got down to him on the DC, but I guess it's another safety valve.
Alabama Basketball Adds Preston Murphy Jr.

Alabama men's basketball updated its roster and it included Northern Oklahoma College transfer guard Preston Murphy Jr.

Murphy Jr. is the son of Alabama's top assistant coach and recruiter Preston Murphy. The 6-foot-1 guard will be a junior and walk-on with the Crimson Tide.

Murphy Jr. averaged 14.4 points on 42 percent from the field, including 34 percent from downtown, along with 4.1 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game in his one season at Northern Oklahoma College last year after starting in 25 games. He scored double-figures in 21 of the 28 games Murphy played throughout the season, including a career-high 31 points on Nov. 12, 2024 at Independence Community College.

Was going to start a thread on this but then didn’t think it was worth it. I think for the first time ever I am more excited for the basketball season than football. This due to all the changes the last 5 or so years. Wondering if it’s like that with anyone else?

I am a certified football junkie, but I have certainly been more excited about b'ball than f'ball for the past 2 or 3 years. If I was to be honest with myself, I got down on football for probably the same reasons you stated, plus our recent QB situation.

I do think we are in for an exciting basketball season, and I really am pumped. I think we have assembled a group of guys with a lot of potential.

Having said that, I am also pumped about the football team this year for some of the same reasons.

Roll Tide! :)
