I can practically smell the salt lol.

Kid was still publicly committed, announced, days after his supposed talk with Gus, a signing ceremony where we know for a fact he isn't signing for Auburn and was just setting us up for a dramatic ENSD flip. In addition to that, he's been bashing us on social media for months.

Thanks but no thanks. No NLI for you.
I think the point is, you can pull someone's offer privately and still let the kid have his moment. He still could have his ceremony and put Auburn's hat on the table. There's not some auditor who only lets you put hats on the table of teams who have publically made it known that you have an offer. Making the fact that they pulled his scholarship offer public knowledge just screams desperation to control the spin.

The kid wasn't going to "play" anyone...he was straight up with Auburn. He reached out to Gus directly on Sunday and let him know that he was decommitting from Auburn and committing to Alabama. Then Auburn wants to run a spin story about "dropping" him two to three days later. Alabama has been in this position before leading up to NSD and they didn't ruin a kid's moment. Classless move by Auburn...how do you drop someone or pull a scholarship when someone has already told you that they aren't coming....Lol
You do that when you fly by the seat of your pants to the in-state rivalry win for the 2nd time in 3 years but are still second fiddle to your in-state rival. It is no doubt butthurt but I don't blame them either. They seized the narrative so they didn't have another top in-state prospect flip on em and look like a punk on NSD.

My issue isn't with Auburn not sending a NLI...he already said he wasn't coming...you move on and focus on other targets, but to make it seem like you dropped the kid or pulled his scholarship AFTER he let's you know he is not coming and put out articles spoiling the kid's moment...was classless. Alabama has been in situations just like this...and they move on...but you don't see articles being published about how Alabama dropped them...

This is fair, but what the kid did was also "classless". IMO, both parties were wrong.

This one turned into a third grade playground fight between Cohen and the Barn.
“You’re a poopy pants.”
“Oh yeah, well if I’m a poopy pants then I will take my scholarship and go home.”
Both are probably in the wrong, but one is a teenager and the other is/are an adult(s).

Yep! Kids put Bama hats on tables at the Under Armour and Army All American games every year...and the staff hasn't spoken to them in forever and some never even received offers.
