I often tell members of the church where I preach, "Don't bring problems without being willing to offer solutions."
The best career advice I ever got was, “Don’t bring a problem to your boss without at least two alternative solutions…preferably three.”

If I had a nickel for every time someone regurgitated a set of facts onto my desk, wiped his mouth, and asked, “What do we do?” Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and I would be teeing it up at Augusta National.

BTW, ”What do we do?” is code for, “What are you going to tell me to do, because (1) I don’t want to think, and (2) if it goes wrong, I can throw you under the bus, and say, “Well, that’s what Basket Case said to do.”

It is one of several reasons I retired the instant I qualified for some benefits, and ran out so fast the door was sucked shut behind me.

I work for a group that is self-independent... we are pretty much on our own when it comes to figuring out the issues. The boss always tell us... the reason we're one of the best in the agency is because the team just figure it out on their own and then bring it to the leadership and say Oh by the way we solved this... It's not PG and the defense thats the problem, it's the Offense and terrible play calling. Get rid of BOB and PG can hang in there. There were times this season where offense forced our defense into tough spots.
It's both..............Golding's defense can't get off the field half the time on 3rd down.........both of them need to go. Bama scored enough points it all but a couple of games to have won........if the defense could have stopped the other team

West Coast/Big 12 defense aint SEC defense

Responsibility. It’s now a four letter word. They may have a solution but are too afraid it may fail so they want someone else to be responsible. Every day at my place of bi weekly payments.

I'm not a BOB fan for sure, but the D are the ones who gave up 52 points against UTe and let two players set school records and let Auburn gain almost 400 yards on the ground.

IMHO BOB called his best game, by far, against Auburn. If the defensive coaching staff would have figured out how to at least slow down Aubarn’s running game, that game would have been a complete massacre. The issue is 1.) why hasn’t BOB called games like that until then 2.) is he capable of doing it consistently?

His body of work over two seasons screams inconsistency. Our offense only played to their ability on a few rare occasions. Let’s also not forget that Auburn was a dumpster fire this season themselves so that wasn’t the measuring stick it normally would be.

He does what we want the defense to do, but sometime his defense aren't always consistent. Check out his team stats
I ain’t sure - somebody will need to check - but it seems to me overwhelming number of Wisky players in the pros last 20 years (not huge numbers) were on the offensive side. When they had really good defenses, they played “together”; there were few first round picks (or even second) that I recall. They just seemed to play, as they say, with “one heart”. That comes from coaching, and in Wisky’s case, the sum of its parts on defense was light years better than the individuals on their own. At least in the games I watched over the years.
I think JL would be a very good hire; defense would definitely not take a step back IMO.
