I just read on the UGA boards that Zach Evans is not announcing at the All star game today after all. lol.

Some posters on there think UGA either let him out of his LOI for whatever reason, or it is his grades.

So glad Bama did not pursue him. It will be interesting which team gets him if this is true.

He may be better off going to a team like Miami, FSU, UCF, etc.....

If academics is a problem with him (among other things), he may very well end up at the barn...

After that interview just now it seems everybody has backed off this kid.. He even had Deion Sanders begging with him. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

Either this or the team(s) that were his “favorites” all said “no thanks”. I’m sure there are plenty that would take him even with his “baggage”. Just maybe not his top schools.

Yea this guy hasn’t handled being in the spotlight well at all. Life is about decisions When he decided not to commit after his visit like the OL George did it’s been downhill since. Honestly this kid needed Bama more than Bama needed him. Because of the level of discipline. The level of support a rehabilitation. He reminds me of Reuben foster had he went to any other school he probably wouldn’t have turned out how he did. Side not all 3 schools he’s considering are all loaded at his position. I didn’t know UGA had as many backs as they did.

He could have gone to any of those schools had he played his cards right........ I bet he’d love to go to Bama or UGA, but there isn’t any room for him now....... you snooze, you lose

I wonder about all those Georgia fans that blamed the coach and posted that ZE should sue the school district , wonder what they are saying now.

I wonder what it was that prompted UGA to release him from his LOI (if that is what happened like the UGA posters said, since he signed early and was going to announce at the game), or if it was grades or his ACT.

I hope he signs somewhere outside of the SEC, since he did not make it to Bama. . If he gets his act together with his issues on and off the field, he will be a very good RB and hard to stop.

Reminds me of the kid, Willie Williams, a linebacker from south Florida and one of the top recruits in 2004. A local paper had him do a "recruiting diary". He was already a troubled young man with plenty of issues. All the extra attention did nothing but exacerbate his problematic behavior. Willie eventually signed with Miami, but never saw much of the field. He was kicked off the team at Miami, ended up at Louisville for part of a season before Bobby Petrino booted him. If your getting booted at places like Miami and Louisville, you know you've got issues.

Last I heard about Willie, he was sitting a prison in Kentucky for burglary.

I really hope Evans gets his act together. Sometimes you have tell people, "I wish you much success in life. Unfortunately it will not be here.....". It appears that is what many have told him.

Maybe Zachary is finally smelling the coffee.

It was insane on the DawgNation board yesterday regarding Zach Evans. Wild speculations, misinformation and Trolls spreading fake news.

Here's what I know based on information from resources that have first person knowledge of the situation. As has been reported earlier in the season, Zach had an altercation with two members of the coaching staff following the first game of the season. The coaches wanted him off the team, however after an investigation the AD decided to suspend Zach and give him certain conditions for reinstatement. Evans met those conditions and played out the rest of the season.

Fast forward... insiders reported that ZE signed a LOI to UGA on ESD with the intention of making his commitment announcement during the UAAG. Twenty four hours prior to the UAAG Zach received news that he did not meet UGA ACT requirements. Obviously EE is out, but the plan is for ZE to be in Athens around the May/June timeframe.

As Deon said last night, Evans is a good kid. He made a mistake, admitted it and did what was asked of him to atone for that mistake. Not unusual.

Not unusual? He got into a physical altercation with not one, but two of HIS coaches...Then got suspended again at the end of the year...Between this kid and Pickens, y'all are becoming more and more like Auburn all of the time...Kids are still on break, but it's time to get out of bed little brother...
