8:15 Ole Miss start time, ugh

Works for me. Gives me time to coach my game (at 11:30 am) get showered, get grill going, and get relaxed.

it worse for us on the east coast
Ya, I've been inviting a few friends over for a couple of games each year. Didn't do it last week and won't do it for Ole Miss. Just to danged late by the time its over and everyone has to drive home afterwards. Luckily us fans and the players and coaches have a full week to recover.

Ended up selling our tickets. 9:15EST is too late for me if you count the 3.5hrs there and 4.5hrs back. Don't want to get a hotel room. Sucks that LSU is the only home game we are making this year.

I'll join in on the B&M with my fellow EDT folks.

I remember the Homecoming game we played against Ole Miss several years back that started this late. I want to say it was the latest we've ever played a Homecoming game. I ran a race early that morning and did not stay up for the end of that game. Maybe be hard to stay up again this year.

Yep, game time decided that this is one I wouldn't attend. TV game means it's not over till 11:30 +/-. Then traffic out of Tuscaloosa and then the 3 hour drive home. When I was a lot younger, maybe.

Also precludes me from going. Watching on TV is Ok, still late; but for going with a long ride home, it is just too late. I am surprised they can fill it up at these late start times.

Agree. Went to the 2013 Ole Miss game in BDS that finally kicked off at 8:30 PM. Game ended shortly after midnight. Fortunately we were staying with friends in Tuscaloosa, got to their house shortly after 1. Not again.

Yet another way that TV contracts has screwed up college football. I can guarantee you that folks will be well lubricated for that one. Some to the point of being unable to find the stadium.

I agree. It's a 3.5 hour drive to the stadium from my home in North Georgia. It will be 5:00AM before I get home Sunday morning. Long day but worth it if Bama wins!

A friend of mine is a huge Redskins fan. He went to a Monday night game at FedEx. He pulled into his driveway at sunrise Tuesday morning (lives about an hour and a half south of DC). At my age, that would ruin my entire week.

Agree. If you have young kids, why would you take them to a game where they would probably fall asleep at halftime? Same reason baseball is a dying sport in this country. Playoff and World Series games that don't end until 11:00 pm CST or later on week nights. How do they develop a passion for something that starts too late for them to stay up and watch?
