A little background....I am a lifelong bama fan who managed to marry the ONLY man in the South who doesn't care for football....so it has been a struggle to instill the proper attitude into my children as a single parent:wink: In other words, it's ALL on me....my kids are 10, 8 & 5.

A couple of days ago I was making breakfast for my kids. I threw the question out to them...."Do you guys know who is the new Bama coach"?
10 yr. old boy...no idea
8 yr old boy...Mick Satan
5 yr. old girl...Nick Saban

Ahhh...mom is so proud!

Tonight...thinking my little girl is probably the smartest of my kids, I ask her...Emma, who is the president? She says, "George Washington"

Ah....at least she knows the important stuff.

Hang in there Jill....one day they will thank you for instilling the love for TIDE football.

Everyone in our house is a TIDE fan, but I am by far the most passionate about it. :) I am surrounded by TOO many Auburn fans in my inner most circles,(neighbors, co-workers & one or two Aubie friends etc.) so I have to stand my ground!

I'm married to a rabid Auburn fan. My 6 year old daughter has declared her love for the Crimson Tide. My 5 year old daughter was being swayed over to the Barn side of things and my husband even bought her a little Auburn football uniform, which she wears and plays in proudly. HOWEVER, I think she almost broke his heart the other day when she asked if we could go to the Bama Fever/Tiger Pride store over in Daphne so she could get an Alabama football uniform.:) The expression on my husband's face was priceless.:cool2:

I will not be denied!!!
ROLL TIDE!!!

I have a similar story. When my ex-wife was carrying our now 15-year old daughter, I used to rub her belly and say my daughter's name and then say "Roll Tide!" After a few times, my daughter would start kicking whenever I said Roll Tide. As I said, she's fifteen now, and after living almost exclusively with just me since she was 3 1/2, needless to say, there is very much a next generation female Tide fan who can throw a better spiral than a lot of guys her age ! Guys are impressed of her football knowledge...... Wait ---that may not necessarliy be a good thing:eek:
