When you add in the points Oklahoma left on the field, that should've been scores, this was as bad of a curb stomping I remember us having at Bama & that includes the Shula years..

With the talent we have & we still have talent..I blame the coaching staff with this loss..
At least in the Shula years, we could blame the sanctions for crippling us to the point that we were "just this close" to being there.

That was the worst loss since the 2000 loss to Southern Miss in the downpour, where we lost 21-0.

The Utah game, meh, who wanted to be there?
ULM and MSU in 2007, well, we lost a bunch of skill position players to the Textbook Scandal.

Even 2015 Ole Miss, we had the ball and a chance to win with 3 minutes left after falling into an abyss.

We've had bad offense days like 2014 Arky.
We've had bad defense days but won like 2016 Ole Miss.

Never have I watched the entire team largely implode against a mid-level team like last night in at least 24 years. And the 2000 team had nowhere near the talent on the field we have, so it's even worse.

we can only hope that Deboer is just waiting out the JM era so he can take full control. If as speculated this is a player run team at the moment then thats a sad commentary on how far the program has fallen. Its clear we are one dimensional on offense but we arent exactly great on defense either. This team was always a 9-3 team...just thought the 3 would be losses to UGA and LSU maybe...not 6-5 teams.

I turned the game off and went to bed in the middle of the 2nd quarter. It was either that or a heart attack!

I don’t think that I will watch the game this week vs the Barn.

I still don’t understand. He HAS full control. He needs to publicly fire these players since they are professionals now. I would have so much respect for him if he stopped beating around the bush and just got rid of this cancer.

I've taken over other peoples teams in the past and its not easy. The player dynamics are already established and tough to reconfigure. BUT he now has that license given the performance last night and basically being out of the playoffs. It will be telling to see what he does the next 2 games.

There’s not a chance in Hades that Milroe is benched. He might not play in the bowl game, but that will be his choice.

Agreed, Selma. The Lambo in the parking lot did not improve Beck. This phenomenon may be widespread. Strange that vast amounts of money for a mercenary team may not improved outcomes by much, or worsen them.
Which is exactly what I’m hoping will bring this house of cards down. I’ve said it from the start these people want a return on investment and only one team can win it every year. Look at A$M they paid all that money stunk it up, fired their HC, and a lot of that talent ended up transferring. I wonder what happens if Ryan Day loses the first playoff game. Ole miss spent big in the portal you think they are wanting to break out that much again after yesterday?
The bigger issue is the portal. It would be nice if they could reinstate the rule that you must sit a year unless you're a grad transfer. That’s what started this mess in the 1st place. Was that the NCAA being spineless or did the courts rule on that?

I've been a fan for 60 plus years and it's one of the worst performances I've ever seen, now here's my thoughts and they amount to nothing, 1. Milroe is a front runner, when things are going good he's all in, inspiring teammates, saying "Roll Tide", but if they are not, he pouts, and sits on the bench not talking, that's not a leader 2. This lank crap needs to go, I believe when Milroe, Booker, Lawson and Moore are gone it will get better, I think they are Cancer, I'm sorry calling it like I see it, they control this team 3. Milroe should of been to pulled after the I don't want to tackle because it wasn't my fault play, but he want be and he'll start next week, I've been a Ty supporter all year, he's from my neck of the woods but I would transfer if I was him 4. Sheridan is in over his head, we have very good backs, they carried the ball six times I believe between them in the second half, he's playing calling is awful I could say more but I want, it is what it is right now so we have to live with it

Dare i say… a little Cam Newtonish effort. But to his credit he has far exceeded my expectations both positively and negatively after the scrimmage last year. Wish him the best but it’s beat Auburn and salvage some good will or lose and receive eternal blame for things fair and unfair.
The first time 28 hit Milroe had to get his attention. Might be why he was running sides trying to bounce it outside more.

I can't speak for anyone else but there is nothing he could do to earn any goodwill with me.

He's ruined two seasons in a row.

I don't care what he does or doesn't do at the pro level.

Ok now, who would you want to be the head coach if DeBoer was gone? Following Saban isn’t for everybody. You have to give him time or we’ll be Auburn.
The thing is I know you are right about this but I also wouldn't be upset if we sent the entire staff packing.

Before last night the Vandy game was our worst loss in 40 years.

Then this staff went out there and topped it with everything on the line.

That's some fireable offenses If I've ever seen them.

I KNOW we can't do it... but it WOULD be justified.

I think there will be changes on the staff. He will have more time to put a better one together than to rush to put one together to keep current players on the roster. Saban had Applewhite for his first OC so he started upgrading after that first season.

I didn’t see the last three quarters, but it appears our halftime adjustments were to go out there and lay down.

The disconcerting thing about Deboer is, how long before his stats look like Dubose/Shula? If he loses next week, to a 6 loss auburn team at home, that doesn't bode well for next year when the game is in auburn. That is a possible 0-2 record against them. He could lose to Tennessee again next year, that's 0-2 against them. At least he has the win over LSU, but is that really saying much?

I predicted an 8-4 season, but let myself have hope when we were 8-2. I would love to be wrong, but I won't be surprised to be right. With a new coaching staff we were going to win games we shouldn't and lose games we shouldn't.

Nothing about the season this far has been surprising... until last night. The lack of adjustments to what they must have expected from Oklahoma compared to their actual game plan was infuriating. With the exception of one game against Clemson, we have not been that far away from winning even in our losses since probably '06. The binary outcome of the game was unfortunate, but that we couldn't even be competitive was disappointing.
