I am trying to buy tickets online for the August 30th game, but most of the time, the ticket seller doesn't indicate whether the ticket is in the Alabama section or the Clemson section.

Is there some place I can go to find out which sections of the stadium are reserved for Alabama?

Get on the waiting list for Tide Pride and get out your wallet (rolltide.com). You can always find season tickets for sell on stubhub or ticketcity.com, but be ready to pay. Season tickets start around $1600 to $2000 for cheap seats, and individual tickets usually start around $200 to $300 per ticket for the non-rivalry games. Or, you can go to the game and hold up 2 fingers and usually find what you need..... In 2005, I found 2 tickets to Tenn. game in Tuscaloosa News 2 days before the game for $400, which was a deal. You can always find tickets..

Welcome to the real world. One of the worst parts about graduating is that you no longer have tickets to the games. I've been in line for Tide Pride since I graduated in 2004 and I don't really see any light at the end of the tunnel. Your best bet is to know people who have tickets they might want to sell or just put up those fingers before the games. It stinks...but that's part of it. Roll Tide!

ebay is also an option....i wouldn't recommend buying on ebay this far away from the game though - they are always MUCH higher!

i always want to sit in the student section, so i try an find student tickets on ebay that the seller is willing to convert for me. if that don't work out (which is rare), i usually end up holding up fingers at the game :) student tickets are kind of a pain because i have to usually buy from two or three different people - but it'sworth it!

oh how i miss my $5 student tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now for the clemson game i'm not sure what i'm going to do yet... i had someone give me FSU tickets last year - since that probably won't happen again, I will probably buy them on ebay closer to gametime.

I've been buying away game tickets for the last 4 years through online sources and I will share what I know (for what it's worth):

1. Lowest Price - go to the game, hold up fingers. Wait until kickoff if you can. In ATL there are ALWAYS scalpers who buy & sell tickets for a few bucks. I talked a guy down from $100/ticket to face $45/ticket for lower level tickets in the Dome for the basketball game last Friday. You should be able to get a ticket for face value +/-10% depending on location within the stadium and how long you're willing to wait. The risk here is you don't KNOW you'll have a ticket and could end up paying much more (I sold 2 extra LSU/Bama tickets last year 2 hours before kickoff for $150 each).

2. Lowest Price but Guaranteed Tickets - Go on eBay. Wait until 1 week before the game and bid. Make sure it's a well-rated seller. Look for someone you can pick the tickets up from in person. Risk here is that the seller defaults, or ships them slowly or they get lost.

3. Guaranteed Tickets - I would suggest StubHub or eBay about 3-4 weeks out. eBay is market-based and you can find some values there but Stub Hub is more of a Buy-It-Now market. Watch the board here and see when everyone starts sending out the "I got my tickets" posts and about 2 hours later you'll start to see the tickets popping up online.

4. Best Seats - Traditional Scalpers have the best seats, but you're going to pay through the nose. GoldenTicket, Empire Tickets, TicketCity, etc. When I say through the nose, think 5-10x face value. But you will have access to tickets that even the highest funded alumni can't get to other than through those companies.

5. I Have To Have Tickets Before I Book Travel - if you must do this, get them from eBay now (although nobody will have physical tickets until August) but be prepared to pay 2-3x what the guy sitting next to you would pay on eBay in August when there are a flood of tickets.

Good luck.

Drive over to UA the week of the game and check out the bulletin boards around campus. Always a deal to be had, and you get to sit in the student section.

I think you're right...

E-bay is the way to go!

Sure -- I will fork out more money but I think it beats saving a few hundred bucks and running in that rat race called Tide Pride,

Seek higher ground = ebay! ebay! ebay!

LOL :)

Good Idea -- I should still be living in Tuscaloosa during the fall semester -- and I could always walk over to the Ferguson Center or something...

I might try that,

Thanks! :)

And as soon as you have your first kid, you may want to go ahead and put their name on the Tide Pride waiting list. Then maybe by the time they graduate, they'll be able to get season tickets.

I don't know why anyone is even worried about this. There will be 35,000 tickets available for Bama and although this is closer than Jacksonville was, Jacksonville was a sell out and yet there were literally tickets EVERYWHERE on gameday for face value and close to the game LESS than face.

I used to buy tickets to the Alabama/Auburn game outside Legion Field for face value back in the day. Tickets are normally ONLY hard to come by toward the end of the season if Bama is in position to win the SEC or better. Otherwise, tickets are almost always easily available...and this game won't be an exception.

I would agree with you except that this is the first game of the season. First game tickets are always harder to come by regardless of the opponent.
