Analysts are different from graduate assistants because they’re not allowed to directly instruct the players. They work more with the on-field coaching staff performing duties like cutting up film and looking for tendencies to exploit from upcoming opponents. Having seasoned coaches who know all the intricacies of the game adds a dimension to that analysis that a recent college grad couldn’t contribute.

So, Strong can technically teach them in the film room, coach them up on their mistakes.
