Game Thread: **Alabama LSU Postgame Thread **

Nice team effort. GMac had a respectable game, Ingram was solid as usual, Tiffin did all that he was asked to do and Julio stepped up with the play of the game.

That's why i don't listen to them on the tube, i turn them down, and listen to Eli, the little delay is a small price to pay to have to put up with the tv crew rtr

I'd have to say that it is a solid win. We beat a darn good team by 9 points. Not only that, but we physically beat them up. I don't know if they have enough hospital beds in Baton Rouge.

Close my behind, facemask on the last drive too. I better go, I'm sour.

Please stop your whining. Bama whipped you today - physically and on the scoreboard. Made several of your players quit. Outgained you 452-253 - 200 yards, 24-13 FDs. Missed calls on both sides. Smelley's catch, PI on Peterson continually, the blown touch on the punt inside the one, then the bogus grounding call that gave you 2 then gave you momentum for the TD, the holding ignored on your TD run. You have no room to say a word, you were beaten - take it. (With your attitude you deserve no sympathy and will likely get little.) Again, Bama beat you - legitimately.

On the Patterson no-call...
I know we're going to be defending/arguing this play for the next year with LSU fans...but does anyone else think Patterson's toe was on the line and maybe the replay officials had a better look at this than CBS's replay? CBS's camera was not definitive to me, not enough to overturn the refs call who was right there. It was very close when you look at what point & where he had control and where his foot was at the line. It looked like he was in the motion of tucking the ball and his toe was on the line. But I do agree it could have been called either way.

24-15 Alabama over LSU

51-42 Stanford over Oregon

It's been a good day.

Huge win for your team today . Looks like you'll probably end up @ 7-5 . Maybe better depending on the SoCal & Cal games . Good luck and please pound the domers :)

Just read this on CBS:

"But the Tigers were held to 95 yards rushing, the 20th opponent to produce fewer than 100 yards in Alabama's last 23 games."

20/23 games held opponent under 100 yards rushing, pretty amazing.

The injuries beat LSU. The Bama defense gave up one TD, but then got their act together. G-Mac had a good game in that he went to the pass game, had a few setbacks, but finally connected with Julio for the cincher. I hope all those LSU boys that went out with injuries end up being ok. I don't like to see these kids get hurt.

Roll tide. Let's not take Miss. State for granted..they challenged the lizards.

They got as many breaks in non-calls and the like as we did. My nomination for the the most amusing post was on an LSU board. One poster said that Bama knew who the better team really was and they had "exposed" us on national TV. This from a fan of a team which got out-gained 453 to 265, had 13 first downs to our 23 and could only manage 9 yards of offense in the fourth quarter. Some "expose."

I ventured over to one of their boards...most are pretty sour right now, lol, blaming the loss on that one no-call.
If I'm not mistaken I think they had another chance to drive the ball and score and try for an onside kick. They couldn't & didn't.
The stats are pretty strong but I think the adjustments CNS & staff made at half-time is the difference. We played to win in the second half. I really have no gripes other than some grumblings about the execution.
If BAMA eliminates the penalties and executes just a few more plays offensiviely, this game isn't close. Color me happy.:)

I saw him pass block on at least one play, if I'm not mistaken.
I'm just glad you were able to see it :) Stay safe my friend .

Very true . On Monday when the SEC office reviews video complaints from member schools , I'd wager my manhood the longer list will have arrived via Tuscaloosa .

The LSU faithful will do nothing but blame the officials. My cell phone has already been blown up with whining text messages and other "congratulatory" voice mails.

That one call didn't sway the game. Wasting timeouts, players dropping like flies and simply not executing is what got them beat. Patrick Peterson could have been flagged for either defensive holding or PI on just about every freakin' play.

So the way I see it. Go get some cheese with that whine and marinate on it for another year. ROLL TIDE!!!
