It's not that I'm not worried about the secondary, I am, but Nussmeier has thrown 7 interceptions in his last 4 games, and one thing our secondary has been able to do better than the last few years is get interceptions.
Yeah, me too!I do not gamble, but I think I'd take LSU and the points.
LSU strength (experienced quarterback) lines up well with Alabama's weakness. (defensive secondary).
One of the biggest myths in college footballagain, the LSU night game makes a big difference. I wonder how vegas would calculate this if the game was being played at Bama at night
UGA is extremely overrated, though. Other than the one game against Texas, they haven't been great. Vegas gets that. I think Ole Miss wins. If Lagway doesn't get hurt, the puppies have 2 losses right now. Luckiest team in the countryBeing favored by as much as UGA is favored vs Ole Miss is surprising to me.
That experienced QB is also an interception machine. The secondary is young, but I wouldn't say that's our biggest weakness. They're young, but they're very talented, and they do get a good amount of picks. Nussmeier will get his yards, but he'll also give us the ball 2-3 times. If we can capitalize on those, then we win the game. If we can't, then we will loseI do not gamble, but I think I'd take LSU and the points.

I hope that trend continues. When I have watched Nussmeier play, he seems to have a grasp of the offense. I definitely think Bama can beat LSU. The lads just need to show up and play to their potential. That experienced QB is also an interception machine. The secondary is young, but I wouldn't say that's our biggest weakness. you dont think home game at night is an advantage at all?One of the biggest myths in college football
6-7 pts…Referring to a night game in BR?Typically a home game sways the spread around 6-7 points. Bama would be around -9.5 if it were to be played in Tuscaloosa.
That's the wrong question. Any home game is generally an advantage, but the reputation of LSU in their night home games completely dwarfs any justification there is for it.you dont think home game at night is an advantage at all?
Problem is that we never do anything with them. We basically just reduce the time an opponent has to score by ending their possession. It's not that I'm not worried about the secondary, I am, but Nussmeier has thrown 7 interceptions in his last 4 games, and one thing our secondary has been able to do better than the last few years is get interceptions.
We lead the series in Baton Rouge 29-10. Gonna roll em again.you dont think home game at night is an advantage at all?
I kind of agree that UGA was overrated but I still would have thought they would have been a heavier favorite vs Ole Miss than we would be vs LSU with both of us going on the roadUGA is extremely overrated, though. Call me crazy but I think if we would have played Georgia this year, we would beat them. Maybe I'm just a homerI kind of agree that UGA was overrated but I still would have thought they would have been a heavier favorite vs Ole Miss than we would be vs LSU with both of us going on the road
Yes, our secondary is aggressive. I think LSU will use a lot of double moves that cause our secondary to bite. If we don't get pressure, Nuss will eat us alive. If we do, we can wreak some havoc. Roll Tide! It's not that I'm not worried about the secondary, I am, but Nussmeier has thrown 7 interceptions in his last 4 games, and one thing our secondary has been able to do better than the last few years is get interceptions.
Goes back to what has been said...if we get pressure to him we are in good shape. They want to run double moves, go ahead. That just gives us an extra 3-4 seconds to get to the QB.Yes, our secondary is aggressive. I think LSU will use a lot of double moves that cause our secondary to bite. Yeah, his SEC stats have not been good. In conference play, he is 94-175 (53.7%), for 1260 yards, 7 TDs, 6 INTs. Against everyone else, he is 109-158 (69%), for 1367 yards, 13 TDs, 3 INTs.It's not that I'm not worried about the secondary, I am, but Nussmeier has thrown 7 interceptions in his last 4 games, and one thing our secondary has been able to do better than the last few years is get interceptions.
You should find the post from selmaborntidefan. He did the research. He broke it all down. It is definitely a myth.you dont think home game at night is an advantage at all?
