I hope we see some blitzing and attempts to pressure Nussmeier. I've actually been disappointed in how few times that this year's D has attempted to put pressure on opposing QBs, so I am skeptical we will see it in the game.
With conference champions getting a guaranteed spot, #12 may not be good enough.

If UF didn’t have the schedule they have, more people would be (or should be) talking about how damn difficult our schedule is.
#12 won't be an option for us. #12 is reserved for only for the highest group of 5 candidate. Even if they are #18 in the polls.
If we win out then we will probably be sitting at 6 or 7. Other folks got tough games coming up.
That’s not true at all. The highest ranked G5 winner could be ranked higher than a P4 team, in which case they would be given one of the top four seeds. It’s ridiculous, yes, but possible.

If we win out, we're in. If we don't (and assuming we beat Mercer), we have at least 3 conference losses and don't deserve to be in.

That‘s not how it works. The 4 highest rated conference champions (regardless of conference affiliation), get the top 4 seeds. It’s not necessarily the Power 4 champs.
Not sure if this has been posted; but the Bama defense is ranked #9 in "stop rate". The percentage of a defense's drives that end in punts, turnovers or a turnover on downs is 74.9%. Promising improvement since the second half against Georgia.

A little surprising to be favored at all at LSU, with the way our team has played at times this year. Still, i think of the 4th Q against USF, all game against Wisconsin, 1st half against UGA, 2nd half against Missouri....One thing is for sure, we are capable of whipping LSU, and capable of being whipped as well. We are some ball hawks in that defensive secondary, though our coverage is more than suspect. If Nuss is sloppy in the least, we'll take the ball from them.
