I get wanting to keep an interesting Big East rivalry but outright saying you are considering canceling the Alabama series over a FCS is a bit much.

We probab;y scheduled this as a favor from Saban to WV and whoever was there. Now Saban is gone and so probably is the WV guy. We have bigger fish to fry.

Honestly I’ve pretty much said Wisconsin was going to be the last one I go to. The Columbus trip is a possibility but idk because I’m falling more and more out of love with the modern college football.

But Morgantown has never been one that I ever wanted to go to.

NDSU doesn’t typically go outside the Midwest and North Pacific. They would probably bill WVU a ridiculous amount to even consider it.

I think Saban thought he'd still be coaching when this home and home was originally set up. But, the underlying message here is, Brown is scared of Bama and fears two absolute skull draggings in Morgantown and Tuscaloosa. I would much rather have a home and home with Boston College. I want to see the 1983 and 1984 losses to them avenged while I am still on the plus side of the grass

Well, at least they are considering canceling before one of the games is played. Wake Forest canceled their end of a Home and Home with Ole Miss AFTER Ole Miss held up their end of the deal this weekend and played up there, leaving Ole Miss scrambling to try and find a team for that open spot.

Yep, and so far they cannot find any takers. However, from what I've read there is an "exemption" Ole Miss can apply for to the conference to avoid penalties. I think they have to prove they made a good-faith effort to find a qualifying opponent.

It will be very interesting how the CFP committee looks at strength of schedule. I am skeptical they will really value SOS..( even if they say they will.). Last year Michigan did not play a non-conference Power 5 and they were not penalized. This year Ohio State does not play a non-conference Power 5 and it will not effect them.
I'm just saying that if they do not value a tough SOS then why schedule to make it tougher.
The SEC is already tough.

The scheduling a power 5 is an SEC rule not a NCAA rule.
