But if we beat the barn and ut and finish 8-4, that means we lose one game we probably shouldn't. Against clemson, uga, and lsu we'll be underdogs. But the other loss would be to tucky, w. tucky, ole miss, miss st, arkie, arkie state or .....tulane???:pDT_bur2:

I know undefeated is too much to ask, but man 9 or 10 sure sounds good!
We have lost 2 in a row to Miss St....

I for one am not writing them off as an easy win. They didn't lose that much talent from last years team that was actually pretty good. We lose three in a row to State if we don't play a very good game.

Someone please tell me why so many are picking LSU to dominate the West again? I just don't see it. They will have essentially a 3rd string QB starting in the hardest league in America. They are going to struggle. Flynn was a mature 5th year senior with experience entering his first year as a starter. They will not have that luxury this year and their defense has some noticeable names that will need replacing. Personally I think the Barn/Bama winner will take the West.

It's probably out of respect for last year's NC, LSU's consistency the past
8 or so years and it being the safe pick for people that really don't want to do any research and or make any bold predictions.

I agree that they will struggle, but the west may very well come down to the
Nov. 8th game in Baton Rouge. I like our chances this year, especially
if a few recruits step up and fill some voids.

I've said on here before, just recently, that the only game I would concede right now is @ Uga. Beyond that, I believe we will be in every game on our schedule with a chance to win in the fourth quarter. We'll have to have a break here and there; however, we're due a few breaks.
I don't even concede the UGA game. I think that will be equivalent to the LSU game last year, and the UF game in 2005, where we KNOW it's the toughest game going into the season and we KNOW we have to play near perfect ball to win. Being on the road in Athens is an obstacle---but it's not one that this team can't handle. I believe that this recruiting class has given this team, along with a full couple years under Saban's tutelage, a HUGE confidence (and talent) boost which will pay off mentally and eventually physically. Add Coach Mac into the mix, with a guaranteed to improve JPW as a senior QB and an unpredictable offensive package and you have the makings of a special year.

I say we beat Georgia. I really don't even have a doubt about it. Clemson is my biggest worry right now, however...
