It's going to feel weird that we play no Mississippi teams this year. Very different feel over all in this schedule.
If we had played a 9 game conference schedule, state probably would have been our 9th team. Closest team to us and we don't play them and it might be a while before we do.

I am looking forward to texas ruining another conference and Bama and others break off to form a new conference. It is just inevitable.

I argued (not that I had any say) that we should play MSU vs LSU every year as one of three constant opponents. We have played MSU more than any other opponent. It is the SEC's 8th longest rivaly and MSU's 3rd longest.

With the exception of 1990 and 1991, Ole Miss has been on our schedule since 1988. MSU...you'd have to go back the early 1940's to find the last time we didn't play them. I really couldn't care less if we never played Arkansas or aTm again. But the loss of the Mississippi schools just feels odd. I don't think our conference opponents change anytime soon. So who knows when we will catch them again.

I love that the SEC abbreviates them as TEX and Tennessee is UT. I hate Tennessee, but they are still in the club, original SEC even going back to the old southern conference, they get what they want more than any of the new additions, and Texas not being UT on the schedules is sweet to me.

I'll pull for the Vols whenever they play the Horns, unless a TX win helps Bama in some way.

If the SEC would just move to 9 games, then we could have 3 teams we play every year (Auburn, Tennessee, or either Miss St or LSU) and then rotate the other 12 teams every two years. That way you have a home game with every team at least every 4 years. Of course, it probably doesn't matter because it will probably all change in two years anyway.

This is what I hated about adding the two new teams. It takes away old rivalry games for us. It may hurt Georgia even more by them not feasting on the weak East teams so much.
