Wrexham beat Man United 3-1 a couple of days ago which is amazing in itself. I am sure MU was playing scrubs. The bad news is Paul Mullen (Wrexham's best player) got clobbered in a very rough play by the MU keeper, and he punctured a lung. Yikes.

I saw that in my news feed. Looks like he'll be out about 2 months. Wrexham should still get promoted, but losing a game or two early hurts their chances of winning League 2, as some have pegged them to do.

They should easily be mid-table without him, but the longer he's out, the more ground they'll have to make up. As long as they're not too far back when he comes back, they should realistically be able to make the playoff.

Key
Promotion: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Play Off: 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th
Relegation: 23rd, 24th

Wrexham is up to 3rd. Two points behind Notts County and 5 points behind Stockport County. Stockport has won 7 on the bounce.

With Mullin back, they look like a lock for top 3 and another automatic promotion. League One is where they'll run into some opposition and it won't be a cake walk. It may take them a couple of years to advance to the Championship from there.

Good spot for them. I expect they'll get a couple of signings in January and then be off to League One in May.

I just (finally) started the second season last week.

And Elliot Lee attracting some transfer interesr from Birmingham and Wayne Rooney.
Not sure if Birmingham City will still be interested in Lee, now that they've sacked Rooney.

And, Wrexham still in good shape in 3rd place in League 2. Two points behind the leader, Stockport County, with one game in hand. Second place Mansfield is also two points back (better on GD), but has two games in hand.

Swansea City just hired Luke Williams away from Notts County, one of Wrexham's rivals in League 2 and the team that pushed them all season last year as they both secured promotion from the National League.
