Area Around St Helens Evacuated Today

They are evacuating the Johnston Ridge Observatory and also evacuating media as well. Apparently a new crack was found emerging in the lava dome and that combined with the continuing seismic activity has led them to increase the warning level to the highest possible. They are expecting an eruption sometime today on a larger scale than what happened yesterday. The mountain released steam earlier but that is all that has visibly happened so far...

Apparently volcanos in Mexico and Japan were becoming active too...looks like the Pacific ring of fire is alive and well.
