We were wanting TRob as our DC right before Nick retired. Hopefully, he told our new coach that TRob is the man for the job if he wants to compete at UA defensively and dude agreed. If Nick's recruiting him I like our chances.

Maybe his phone call to TRob comes with an offer to run the defense............I'm sure hes on it

I am not being contradictory, I am genuinely asking. Why are so many people so “TRob or bust?” If he is so obviously “the guy” why did Saban not promote him last year and just be done with it? I am not saying he wouldn’t do a great job, I just don’t know what everyone is basing all this on?

Secondly he has been at Alabama long enough to have learned Saban’s defensive approach and did a phenomenal job after taking over as the full time DB’s coach. We lost 4 guys last year and our secondary was tons better this year. Might have two first round CB’s and of course Downs a true freshman played like a veteran.

He has experience as a DC in the SEC at SC.

TRob was calling the defense. So in some aspects he was the co-DC

Fans do not realize how much turmoil position coaches and other staff go through when head coaches move around. It can be very hard on families.
