Probably don't care. If they were paid why do they careWhen it goes bad,it all seems to go bad. I wonder how incoming recruits, and their parents feel, in light of recent events, about signing???
Ok that sounds bad but before we can claim racial bias, I think we need to know the total percentage of black custodial workers there are.Overall, the lawsuit says 10 of the 11 employees who lost their jobs during the reorganization were black.
So they moved to a smaller arena, logically wouldn't that mean you needed less custodial staff?Five of the former custodial workers were laid off last May and four others were moved to other departments during a reorganization after Auburn moved from Beard-Eaves Coliseum to the smaller new Auburn Arena.
I dislike Auburn just like the next guy but.........as the story stands I don't see it being anything more that some people trying to get paid. Let's logically look at this story

I really dislike Auburn, bordering on hatred, but I despise people playing the race card just because they can.
I was thinking the same thing. The new arena is smaller, so the staff will be cut some. Did race play factor in who was cut during the transition? That's for someone else to decide.I dislike Auburn just like the next guy but.........as the story stands I don't see it being anything more that some people trying to get paid. I really like that....LMAO!!! Throw Yella Fella in there too....I see a day coming when they have ads on tv...."Save Auburn University and its trees, and its coaches, and its custodians and its pay for play athletics, and its crooked boosters. Send your donation to Bobby Lowder, care of......."
True. But it's a bit thornier when it comes to a protected class like race, gender, age, etc. If you can show that the firings were racially motivated then 'at-will' doesn't matter.Something else to remember. Alabama is an At-Will state; AU doesn't really have to have a reason to fire the people.
