I, for one, am convinced that we will be looking at an undefeated Auburn team the day after Thanksgiving. If things go their way, Auburn could very well be #1. If they beat LSU, I'm not certain the BCS formula won't have them at the top by that time.
However, take a look at what Auburn has done on the road. They get by MSU by 3 points and put together a late drive to beat Kentucky by 3. A win is a win and all, but Bama was mopping up on the road last year. We beat Kentucky by 18. Beat Ole Miss by 19. Blasted MSU by 28. That's what a great team does.
I think Auburn is a very good team with probably the most dynamic player in college football (hate to admit it), but they haven't played a good road team. Playing in Bryant Denny is going to be very tough, especially when our defensive staff has that much film, the stadium is rocking, and our veterans know that everything (maybe even a BCS Championship Game berth) is on the line.
It only helps us for Auburn to be unbeaten when they come to Tuscaloosa, so I will begrudgingly hope they beat LSU and win out, although I won't dare root for them.
