My grandfather also owned a Shell station, and I worked a few summers there at the pumps. It was pretty cool.

I don't know about any other states but in New Jersey it's illegal to pump your own gas.

I can remember when futurists said that we would pump our own gas and would have to make appointments for service work on cars. I laughed...and was totally wrong.

Some of the comments are just crazy. Oregon, a great place to visit but I don't want to live there.

Auction ended yesterday. She ended up going for $14K and change. I paid less than $2K for mine back in '05 from eBay. Pretty much the same car. That's the difference between a BaT auction and an eBay auction.

Love the truck, but the other cars are ugly (IMO). But I agree that today's cars are very bland.

Years ago I had a couple of muscle cars. Those days are gone.
These days I ride the back roads in a Ford Truck. I'm never in a hurry now.
The simple joys of retirement.
