I saw someone quoted the superintendent as saying “masks were a personal choice & something that couldn’t be enforced.” (May have been from video on linked page but wasn’t able to watch).

I remember all sorts of clothing things being enforced in school. I guess that district doesn’t have a dress code either & everything no matter how outrageous is a personal choice.

How is this still something people are saying? I have never known anyone that died from the flu. I don't even know somebody who knows somebody that died of the flu. I do know 2 people that know someone that died of Covid19.

My son starts grad school this fall. Two of his classes are online and the other is in class.

My wife drives a school bus. Luckily, we live in a rural area so she only has about 25 kids. There are a couple sibling groups so they can sit together and everyone else gets a private seat. She is required to wear a mask but they told her not to be the mask police on the bus and concentrate on driving.

Masks are required at the school so hopefully most will wear one on the bus. She also has limited contact with the kids and they said to block off the seat right behind her.

We’re in a similar situation. I fill in drive for the school system on my off day. My wife is a full time teacher and XC coach. It’s going to be a tough time reopening. I’m very nervous about it.

amazing that they can practically enforce a dress code, can practically enforce a "no embarrassing the school on social media" policy, etc., but they cannot practically make kids wear masks.
