Give me ambiguity or give me something else.
It's pretty damning, particularly his showing no emotion after blowing the guy's face away. The jury seemed almost to perceive the self-defense theory as an insult to their intelligence. It'll be interesting to see the other jurors' accounts...
If that juror's account was true, that was as much of an exclamation mark of a conviction as there is. 11-0-1 on an initial blind vote with one wanting to "sleep on it" which is understandable, but it sounds like it was very much a no doubter.

In my opinion, It's way past time for the Huntsville Mayor to back down, quit criticizing the verdict, and fire the police chief.

I'm trying to imagine the perspective from the two black senior officers who seemed to have the situation under control until Darby waltzed in ready to try out his gun. How do they continue to work for a chief who thinks what happened was appropriate for the situation?

Maybe some creative, sustained buy-back programs might could put a dent in the country's gun inventory if done correctly. We may be way past that, but other places have had success doing it.

How about 50 free tickets to the Super Bowl to the people who turned in the most guns in the six months before the game, with winners announced at a set date?

Let energy prices spike again, swap a military style long gun for a month's bill. Do the same at the gas stations when gas spikes.

Shooting a few games of pool with him at Saban's house could be a prize...it might catch on with other popular people...

You might find a billionaire to fund it...also consider the savings if gun violence dropped substantially for the government and general public when considering the bottom line.

The status quo is not working...we can't keep on like this, at the mercy of an outfit like the NRA and stubborn and unreasonable second amendment devotees.
