That’s the thing. They quite literally are.Maybe we should just tell the team scouts are watching all of our games.

3 on 2 drills are great. A lot of quick learning for the fast break that carries over to half court offense and defense as well....
My teams do 3 on 2/2 on 1 drill every practice. If nothing else, my teams know how to run a fast break lol.
We had veteran teams under Grant who lacked consistency and pride in performance. We get it, we're playing a lot of freshman. Mostly freshman. But we're now roughly 30 games deep into the season if you count the preseason exhibitions. I concede that part of the problem is a team full of younger guys but letting the team shoot 22 3s when we're the worse 3 point shooting team in the conference is a fault in the game plan. Not having proper spacing on the set play when we were down 54-55 is either a bad play design or poor execution. Yea, the teams young but games like these could be won even with a young team..That is indicative of youth. Thats a lack of maturity and pride in performance.
We are 302 of 351 teams in 3 point %. Petty is at 36.1%, Sexton 33.7%, Ingram 20.6%:frown:We had veteran teams under Grant who lacked consistency and pride in performance. What was that take in response to? If it was firing CAJ then I completely agree. I don't think it's time to reconsider starting over yet. Let's see how this year plays out and then see if there's some improvement next year. I have to say though, if we go 4 years without making the NCAA tournament I don't know how the AD couldn't at least consider a change. But, if Rod's responding about the teams performance so far this year then I guess I kind of disagree. I've already stated my reasons why plenty of times so won't go through it all again..
Exactly my point. Petty and Sexton are the only 2 players who should have a green light for open 3s. It's going to be hard without any pure shooters but CAJ has to come up with a gameplan / lineup that isn't contingent on making outside shots. I'm not sure how you do that but I'd take my chances on that route rather than keep on doing what hasn't really worked all year..We are 302 of 351 teams in 3 point %. https://twitter.com/abc/status/961248511126884353My take - the basketball team is underachieving this year but it's to early to say the recruiting class is over hyped. I think a lot of it has to do with putting the players in a position to be successful. Continuing to allow the team to shoot 20+ 3s per game when we're one of the worse 3 point shooting teams in the country does not help player development. It's obvious this recruiting class is talented but they have not become better basketball players this year. I think that's why most people are disappointed and these questions are being asked pretty regularly now. I think the lack of development has a lot to do with coaching whereas most other people here think it's because of their youth and they'll get better in the coming years with more experience. Time will tell..
Heard some of the pregame show Tuesday on my way home from work. Bryan Passink said something similar. Mentioned Alabama has had 10 different starting lineups this year. Plus the 50+ missed games due to injuries. Most fans either don't realize or haven't paid attention to our injuries. We have lost our only 2 seniors for the year basically before the season began, our top returning player for half the season, our PG for 3 or 4 games, and Donta Hall has been playing with a broker wrist the last 2 weeks. Also, Petty's ankle he hurt in the Minnesota game is still bothering him. This may be why we can't seem to get into a rhythm. Injuries are part of the game, but we have had more than our share this year.
This is it exactly. The thing is about saying that we aren’t meeting preseason expectations. I think that we are exactly what the national media predicted us to be. I’m pretty sure that Joe Lunardi had us at about a 10 seed in his preseason bracketology. I think that we as fans are so hungry for us to be great that we probably had some unrealistic expectations.Add that to the youth of the main contributors, and we get inconsistency and not meeting many's preseason expectations.
I'm thinking the same. Some folks expected all of the new recruits to be able to excel as freshmen. I have high expectations for a couple of them as they gain experience, mature and hopefully work hard with strength and conditioning during the off-season.This is it exactly. From the P5What are the records of the other teams that are around Alabama in this experience ranking? I looked and could not find his rankings. May be behind a pay wall or maybe I was looking in the wrong place..
