Bama Coordinator Search Thread

Has Saban built a machine or what? Can call on a coach to make a 'lateral' move (same position) but who turns down CNS now? You know you chances of getting a ring and a promotion are a near certainty.

What a time to be a Bama fan. RTR!

Maybe a decade ago it was a lateral move but T-Town is now ground zero for developing players and coaches. All of these new hires have just dramatically improved their future carrier opportunities not to mention win championships. GREAT TIME TO BE IN CRIMSON PEOPLE!!!

Not entirely a lateral move. He's Co-OC like Locksley last year. I think he'll be a big part of our pass game plan next year. I like what Penn State does to get vertical in the pass game in what is really a pretty straight forward power spread offense.

Great move, maybe cultivate him into our playcaller when Locksley gets his second chance as a head coach.

Hilarious! Basically CNS is saying that Locks bunch is going to kick so much donkey he’ll probably get a HC offer next year so might as well have a replacement in the fold. Too awesome!!!

I said it before and will repeat myself, Burton Burns is woefully underpaid. He has been with CNS since day one and has recruited and developed some of the best RBs in college football including 2 Heisman winners. Thank you Coach Burns.

If he has true game input, this is a huge factor.

And it's not exactly like Penn State is a doormat either. It's a big time, top 10 program going into next year. To make the move to Alabama says something about his ability as a coach and recruiter because James Franklin is pretty good himself.

And 2 Doak walker award winners, And a Maxwell Award winner, and a Walter camp award winner........Henry won a lot of awards that year.

I remember listening to the interview with Kevin Hagan, he said Saban was fixing to hire some great young talent who could recruit well and we would start hearing those names soon. It really sounds like he hit the nail on the head....for all accounts , our ability to recruit may have actually gone up in terms of staff ability and recruiting talent alone.RTR

I feel like I say this every year but I can truly say with the utmost confidence that the offensive this upcoming season will be EXPLOSIVE. Maybe the most explosive of the Saban era, don't know how the QB situation will play out but it just dawned on me how deadly we would be if Hurts was used in a Belldozer/Tebow type package. We have so many weapons on the field and on the coaching staff, wow!

So now with all this news coming in
What’s the coaching lineup looking like now

I am pretty excited about the new hires and promotions. The only concern I have is the lack of a real QB coach who knows anything about being a QB (unless there is something about Locksley that I don't know). I think the position is too important to not have one.

I hope we continue to see Hurts incorporated into the offense as long as it dosen't mess up continuity and keeps us on schedule. If the defense can reload, this team will be incredibly good.

Is Gattis official, yet?

Sounds pretty much like a done deal, I just always like to see the official announcement before I get too bought in.

Wow! I mentioned about Locks being a good promotion for recruiting reasons. Who in a million years would have thought that Coach was going to pull off such a great hire. THE MAN IS A GENUIS
