I read that with the same confusion. Like bro, you just want to be handed the spot? Do you have no desire to get better? I can't even imagine what Saban would have said to the young man.

However this quote did stand-out to me
“(It’s) very impressive, especially compared to Bama,” Okoronkwo said. “What they are doing there, I really like because it’s way more related to the game. Like what drills they do and what lifts they do. That really stood out to me.”

I don't like hearing that a player finds some of the drills our groups are running aren't relative or helpful for the games. I think we can all watch the film from this season and find that there's probably a lot of truth in that statement. That's alarming to me.
