I would pull for Auburn.

SEC needs to always dominate other conferences in every possible arena.

Besides, API will never be able to catch up to our numbers regarding championships. I don't care one iota about them getting one if they've earned it.
Agreed...I refuse to root for BSU, cause they are more annoying than any team (including AU) right now. So I need to see the SEC remove their heads...could AU do it?? Don't know about that one. AU's D is suspect, but BSU will be watching Camputer running down field dancing and singing "Can't touch this!" the whole game IMO.

AU didn't root for us to win (Heisman/CG), So what. The SEC wins out then we win out in the long run. IMO it Doesn't matter if they want us to win or not. Shoot BSU wouldn't root for us either. So if you DON'T root for them (AU) does that make you better or the same as them? IDK I will always go for the SEC...it killed me to root for FL in '08, but I did it (might have thrown up a little in my mouth though).

To me it's not business, it's personal!

I am a proud member of the keep it simple stupid fan base. We want Auburn to lose and lose often, period.

One of biggest come backs to Auburn fans is their lack of a legitimate National Championship. I want their probation ridden 1957 answer to remain.

Someone that roots for Auburn has a fan mentality that is either totally foreign to me, or is the type that doesn't lose any sleep when we lose. They like college football, are good people, and root for their in state schools. I am not this fan type.

If this scenario happened I would absolutely 100 percent pull for Auburn!

A BSU win vindicates the cupcake approach to the national title. One-loss SEC teams will be on the sidelines in the future while undefeated BSU, TCU, and Notre Dame take turns battling for the NC. (I include ND because they're best positioned to adopt the BSU approach if it can be shown to be the ticket to the BCSCG.)

If that were the title game, I don't know that I would really pull for either team to start the game. I would just have to watch and see which way my heart or gut pulled me. I think it would be tough to actually WANT Auburn to win a national title, but it would be somewhat unique for two teams from the state of Alabama to win back-to-back titles, especially if we could win again next year and go back-to-back-to-back. As cool as that might be, I still don't think I could support Auburn in their quest for a title.

Is this a rhetorical question? Boise and it's not even a tuff decision. I actually like there offense. A Pro set with multiple formations that uses motion and shifting to confuse the defense. Say what you want, but lately Boise shows up for the big stage when they get the chance. Oklahoma, TCU, and Va Tech. More than we can say for Ohio State.

I may be alone in this, but I would quietly root for Auburn. I like our big boy club, and I prefer that the Boise States of the world stay out. My only concern would be the success AU would have in recruiting.

I'll take the SEC - any SEC team - over Boise any day of the week.

Boise and it's a no-brainer. I have to question the Alabama loyalty of anyone who would pull for the booger eaters to win a NC. Those folks absolutely detest us 24/7 and damn sure would never pull for us regardless of the opposition.

I guess a lot of y'all have short memories and have forgotten how gleeful they were when we were going through our NCAA problems. Even though it was apparent that we, guilty or not, were victims of the unholy union of Roy Kramer, Phil Fulmer, Doug Dickey, Tom Culpepper, the NCAA and some other members of the SEC. The boogs thought we got off light even though we were hammered much worse than anyone before us for like offenses. Those dirtbags wanted the death penalty for us.

Much as I hate Boise and their whining to be awarded something they don't deserve, they're a couple of thousand miles away and I won't have to deal with them on a daily basis. Plus they're not constantly conspiring against us as the boogs are, i.e. Gadsden, Julio's fishing trip and Lord knows what else. Some of you folks need to learn to recognize your enemies. Boise is a nuisance and a pain in the arse but allbarn is your enemy.

Also, the hell with this misguided state or conference loyalty, it's not a two way street and you're beyond naive if you think it is. The rest of the conference respects us, but it's only out of fear, not any sense of brotherhood, they'd be overjoyed if they didn't have to ever deal with a strong, full strength Bama again.

And finally, the SEC dominance in the BCSCGs has to end sooner or later, what better way than for it to be the boogs falling on their faces and suffering the embarrassment of it? :biggrin2:

Speaking the truth there.

Generally, I pull for the SEC, except when it's either UT or AU. There was a time there during the last decade when UT took over as the rival I most despised. But since UT has finally gotten their comeuppance and AU has renewed their shenanigans, everything's back to normal.

I mean seriously, for a booster to "befriend" a kid - a high school sophomore - with long-term plans to either steer him to the Barn or set him up with a manufactured violation if he signed with Bama, something ain't right with that herd. Not only would I pull for Boise, but I'd pull for Boise to win by 40.

As usual, you nailed it. I don't feel any great allegiance to the SEC, especially Auburn. For decades Alabama owned the rest of the SEC and while the Tide was on probation they took the opportunity to "pad their traditions" with wins over a weakened Bama squad.

Tubs was supremely arrogant until he realized Bama was back. Exit Fulmer. Urban almost joined them. If Bama were to make it to the MNC game, rest assured the rest of the SEC will be for whoever our opponent is.

Now if Vandy were to make it to the title game..I'll be chanting SEC..SEC...SEC

As a TIDE Fan this hard to say, but i will pull for AUBARN only for two reasons. One they are in the SEC and that will be 5 in a row. Two so nobody ever have to hear about Boise St. belongs in the BCSCG talk again. How much I hate AUBARN i can't root against the SEC for the WAC just don't make sense, but after hearing the AUBARN  :mad:fans mouth i prolly wish Boise St. won. RTR!!!:BigA:

I'm gonna have to go with this one. I could not 'pull' for either one; the barn because they are the barn, and BS because of their obnoxious 'we deserve..' bs. Best thing is that the earth opens up and swallows them both.
And I would not watch the game; only time I will ever watch the barn is when they play Bama.

My dad was always an SEC fan and supported the barn as long as they were'nt playing Bama, but even as a kid I could not make myself support the boogs.
No matter who they were playing I pulled for the opposition he'd just shake his head and scold me lightly. This however was way before the internet and the nzaa incident............ and after all that knowing my Dad as I do he's also back the Bronc's :biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2:

I'll pull for Auburn. If they're in the NC game then that means they beat us. I'd rather be beaten by the nat'l champion. I'd also like to see the SEC win another one. I'm Bama all the way, but if they can't go, SEC needs to take it.

ps... i want boise to get humiliated so they'll shut up about needing to be in the championship.
