That's SO GOOD!

Jalen was so locked in. Somebody said it in a thread/tweet that "Jalen Hurts is an old man locked in a young man's body." He seems so mature/CNS-like.

It's getting overlooked a little but this is two SBs that he's outplayed the best QB in the NFL!
Well, I would think that that would qualify him to be pretty highly thought of himself.

I think Jalen Hurts is still a bit of a what if story at Alabama. I know I was too defensive of him during his time at Alabama, but it felt like a lot of people didn't get just how difficult the circumstances ended up being.

A: He was 17 when he arrived at Alabama (he's actually younger than Tua) and he got thrust into starting as a true freshman. We can only wonder what he'd have been like if he had the normal timetable for development.

B: The offensive coordinator musical chairs has been insane. His first year he had two offensive coordinators (change before the championship game) then he had a different offensive coordinator each of the next 3 seasons. Then he arrives at Philadelphia and musical chairs starts up again. By his season season he was on his second NFL offensive coordinator, but thankfully he got him for two years and found his groove. But it began again the next season and he had a setback.

Jalen Hurts has had 9 different offensive coordinators in his 9 seasons of combined NFL and college football. I'm not sure anyone with a different demeanor could have kept things together through the constant chaos.

That's funny because when he was at Alabama I used to refer to him as Little Nicky

Jalen was (and remains) my all time favorite player at Bama, despite his not being the superstar we all wanted him to be.

That said, as much as I hate it, playing under Riley for a year was exactly what he needed (and what he wasn't going to get at Bama) to get him over the hump.

I'm super proud that he graduated from Bama and the manner in which he's always carried himself.

Smitty was too small to play football, but here he is - a champion - again, and again and AGAIN!

That man willed and worked himself into the player that he is today.
But notice he's got some guns for arms now. He's added a lot of muscle, but pound for pound he's better than any WR in the league!

Love that the "Slim Reaper" as stuck!

That’s so much of why Smitty and Ingram are my two favorite players.

Both guys were undersized at their positions but you couldn’t quantify with star ratings their drive and competitive nature and heart.

There were plays in 2009 where it almost took all 11 guys on defense to get Mark down.

Nobody could cover Smitty in 2020. He was routinely beating double coverage.

He’s so complete as a WR… he will pancake defenders on running plays.

I’m so happy for both him and Jalen.

I agree! Smitty definitely deserves his flowers and props as well, he was considered the 3rd best receiver of the 3 headed monster at the time and arguably pulled off the biggest play in Bams football. Was happy that coach called for them to hookup in the superbowl ... makes their story even greater.

Show class, have pride, and display character. If you do, winning takes care of itself.
Coach Bryant

This as much as anything epitomizes Jalen... and all three of the guys really.
