Pretty sure you’re an Aubie. But with Auburn, it’s just as much as showing disrespect to the other team and crowd as it is celebrating their team’s success. They were doing the Crimson Crane, the “too small” gesture, the thumbs down thing when Sears turned it over, and even got into it with a lady in the crowd. And that’s all a reflection of Bruce Pearl. It’s well documented about his lack of character and his teams mirror that lack of class.

Now, do you see Bama players doing all that?

Nah, I’m all Bama, but I’ll give Auburn credit for bringing the energy. Their fans and players are always going to be passionate, but there’s a fine line between intensity and lack of class. Bruce Pearl’s teams definitely like to toe that line. Still, rivalries are what make college basketball fun, and as much as we go at each other, the sport wouldn’t be the same without both programs pushing each other. Roll tide anyway.

The university has got to figure this out. Cramming your home court advantage into the corner like this is so dumb. Even Auburn when we were in Beard-Eaves Mausoleum didn't do that. Literally negating the howitzer that is home support.

seriously. Rewatching the highlights as speak.
Every time someone makes a play it’s a bunch of silver haired season ticket holders sitting on their hands while the noise comes from off screen.

This is embarrassing and dumb. Bama is a legit national power right now, and their home court advantage is awful.

To give credit where credit is due, Auburn made us look very uncomfortable, especially our long guards. We had to shoot it from 25 feet to get a decent look.

Basically, the game was won at 9-0. We never led. And all we had in us was to pull even a few times. Most noticeably, when we tied it at 65 (?) and had the full 14K in a frenzy, AU's guards hit 2 or 3 threes and it was right back to an 8-10 point lead. The air went out of the building.

The building oughta go out of the building and to the rubble pile - what a cesspool Coleman is as a "home team advantage," 57 years and counting.

Boggles my mind how we can spend almost 9 figures to upgrade BD but cannot figure out a way to build a new coliseum to take advantage of our elite coach and elite talent

Really hope this doesn't end with Oates leaving for a basketball first school

Basketball might break even, but it does not even come close to the money making ability of football.

Well the guys got to the rim, but they were expecting fouls to be called, that’s always a recipe for disaster.

Couldnt hit free throws.

Couldn’t hit threes.

Contact to the face flagrants should be a one game suspension, dude has a history of being dirty. The fact he’s still on the team at Auburn tells you all you need to know about the culture there.

We have to change the way we defend against good 3 point shooting teams. When our guards got picked (and some were moving screens) there was no one there to get the shooter. Our bigs sunk to the lane, I guess to defend a drive, but the 3's killed every comeback we mounted,

Bama has always catered to those silver haired season ticket folks, especially the ones that can afford the lower seats. Now with NIL they are really digging into those peeps. It sucks watching so many other schools, including Auburn, and seeing the students surround the court, or at least half the court, and very visible on TV.

Yeah, nothing like having all the students visible on national TV yelling incessantly expletives not allowed on TF at Auburn.

Our team nor our fanbase was ready for the bigtime of playing a the biggest game in program history on a national stage in its home gym last night. We played the little brother role well last night.

Because we fell into the trap of doing a red out like so many other teams did when facing us in football. Blackouts, whiteouts, etc

Auburn played like the home team wearing white...

Just saw some pics from the game and box score. Why was Auburn wearing white? I thought the home team wears white in basketball.

you want your home environment to be hostile to the other team lol

One big factor, I would argue, was that AU was being allowed to play a much tighter defense than we, that doesn't take away from the fact that we allowed far too many open 3s and never solved their high pick and roll. Oats knows about it, but he said this week he concentrates on offense. Somebody had better pay attention to it, if, indeed, we have the personnel to counter it. On the calling, they got what they wanted, although they had more fouls called. We couldn't seem to get the calls on the way to the basket we usually get - and depend on. Part of our problem with 3s was that we were having to work so much harder to get them and a lot weren't actually clean looks. Without our normal 3 pt shooting, we're just an average team...

I agree, they were able to push us off the three point line which made it alot more difficult
