Bama vs. Indy in the Rose Bowl - Jan. 1

I think some of y'all may have let the comeback win against Oklahoma affect you like the Indiana fans and some of their players feel after beating tOSU. I do not know how good Indiana is, but they beat tOSU which is arguably the most talented team in college football. Cignetti is a very good coach and having coached for CNS a number of years he is not going to let his team buy into we beat tOSU, and Alabama isn't nearly as good. Yes, we have more overall talent than Indiana, played a tougher schedule, but whether our coaching is better is yet to be seen.

If Cignetti can run up the score vs Alabama he will most definitely do so....and then brag about it.

Vandy fans we're pretty mouthy too...

Their fans will likely outnumber us in the Rose Bowl simply because they have not been there in 70 years.

This is the time where defense wins championships. Play mistake free offense and winning defense and we will be fine. Odds are high it will be an All-SEC national championship.

Crimson Brother, I read the complaint thread and some of your comments were embarrassing for the great fan/poster you normally are!

But then it continued as we started to play better and you started "leaning into it" almost tongue-in-cheek as if those negative comments were somehow having a positive impact on our comeback.

So is "continuing with my complaint thread theme" really who you are going to continue to be after we totally dominated OU for 2/3 of the game and pulled off a great comeback...one of the better ones in Bama history!!!

Come back to your normal self, please! :)

This is sports and jinxes are real so we need everyone to do their part and not change a thing from the final 40-45 mins of the OU game 😅

Ya’ll please wear the same gear, eat the same food, sit in the same spot and post in the same thread.

Do your part!!! Lol

This game remains me of the Notre Dame back in 2012. Most so-called experts thought Notre Dame was going to either beat Bama or give us a game. That year Notre Dame played a soft schedule and had just beaten down USC. That game against Bama was over by halftime. Honestly, IU hasn't played as tough as team as this Bama squad and if we play like we did the last 2.5 quarters I wouldn't be surprised we beat them by 17 points, especially if we jump on them early. Being off for so long for IU they are going to be a little slow starting off in this game.
I think your comparison between IU and ND is very fair. The problem is the comparison between that Bama team and this one. That Bama team would smash either of these teams. I cannot imagine any Bama fan having any confidence whatsoever after watching this Bama team play over the last two months. We have mostly played bad and very ugly football. I'm hoping the light switched on during the OU comeback, but I have zero confidence that we can actually play four good and consistent quarters of football. I'd love to see it, but I'm not confident that we will. Roll Tide!

Yes... This team can't run unlike Eddie Lacy running through Domer players like they were stick men. I think we can win, but we have things to work on for next year. Still, we seem to be on the upwards path in most ways and have problems that can be fixed going forward.

There are reasons to be nervous about this game. That said, these reasons escape me.

I worry about every game, but; I was more worried about Oklahoma than I am about Indiana. Looking at Indiana's schedule, I think that they have played a total of three good teams (Oregon, Ohio State, and Penn State), this if one wants to characterize Penn State as "good."

Sure, I get it. Their QB is a Heisman Trophy winner. Congrats but our DL is very talented and deeper than I knew. Mendoza probably won't be effective if he is laying on his back.
I think that if we can muster up even a decent running game (and I think that we will), Ty will pick them apart.

I'm looking at Crimson Tide 31 Indiana 20, and apparently some folks agree. The line opened at Bama+7.5 on Sunday. I took the points on a modest wager and the line is now 6.5.

In summary, I expect the Tide to rise yet again.

ROLL TIDE 4EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After the way Alabama came from behind against Oklahoma, you can't blame him for getting as big a lead as possible if they ahead in the game. I'm thinking it won't play out like that. I think we get a comfortable win. My crimson glasses see us returning to midseason form.

IF Cignetti can run up the score vs. Alabama and he brags about it, so be it.

It's professional football now.
Why is this even a thing?
If ifs and buts were cherries and nuts we’d all have a merry Christmas…
C’mon…blowout…when did that become part of our makeup? It’s not!
They need to be worried about us winning, not them blowing us out!!!
Roll Tide…jeez…

Midseason form gives us shot. But remember, midseason form still has us topping out on offensive scoring at somewhere between 24 to 30. Higher is we get a defensive score or a short field from a turnover.

We have to keep them in the 20 to 24 range and be +1, at least, in turnovers......to have a shot here.

They are more disciplined, more sound. We are more talented and have higher upside.

But they beat Ohio State, on of the most talented teams in the country.

They beat tOSU we beat a better UGA club…

Well, if you subscribe to the notion that it was our overall "health" that led to the bad performances late in the year, we are now in a good spot. CKD said earlier this week, that we are healthier now than we have been in a long time.

The two weeks to get ready for OU and the lack of significant injuries in that game leave us in a spot that is far, far better than just a few weeks ago.

Plus, there's a possibility we may get Overton back for the Indy game too! That would be like gravy for a defense that is already rounding into form!!!

Thanks for sharing...and welcome back from the brink!!!

It's very possible they are a more complete "team" but there's no question we have a greater collection of elite "talent."

I think about what CNS used to say, "Think players not plays." I sure hope we can gameplan to identify a few key player advantages. Even if we can just steal a FG or possible TD with our talent advantage, it'll give us a boost!!!

For instance, I know Ryan Williams has been MIA in our offense, but if we could figure out a way to get him in space with the ball in his hands, there is nobody on the field as elite as he is in the open field. Think sweeps, reverses, WR screens, etc.

Same would apply to GB. In the open field, he just glides and makes yards!
