****Bama vs. MSU Postgame Thread****

I've had to listen all week long as FSU fans crowed about how Bama was overrated and MSU would wipe the field with them. Now these same fans are saying how MSU and Bama are both overrated. Never mind that they are now barely winning against an unranked Miami team. Hopefully we meet them in a playoff game.

This is quote from the RB of MSU. I didnt know they had to climb anything to be ranked number 1. They sorta fell into it. I wonder if that is the mindset that Mullen has instilled in his players.

Mississippi State hopes the aftershock of Yeldon's touchdown doesn't extend into its future in the College Football Playoff.

"They always thought we were out of it from Day 1," Robinson said. "We always been the underdog. So we're just going to have to climb back up to the top."

If we beat Aubarn , how can they climb back into it unless the "BrainTrust of College Football" keeps them in the top four. I hope they put FSU at 1 after tonite. It will just show the fans that the BrainTrust is worse than the BCS ever thought about being. Its all about money people.

They keep saying we have the current record for home winning streak, and I'm shocked that FSU doesn't have that with 2 undefeated years so far, but they only have 12

Alabama's last home loss was November 10th, 2012 against Texas A&M
Florida State's last home loss was November 24th, 2012 against Florida.

I just got done watching the game. I had to watch it on tape due to other commitments but avoided getting spoiled. I'm not going to wade through the game threads, but what was up with Mullen's clock management on their last drive. There didn't seem to be any sense of urgency.

Not that I'm complaining, but if I was a MSU fan, I'd be pretty ticked off.

This mindset is much of why we won...We beat MSU because we expect to beat MSU...we're simply supposed to. We expect them to play us tough every year...but we expect to win....and really....when it got right down to it....they expected us to win too.

Thanks for posting that picture. That bottom picture shows a CLASSY place to be.

Does anyone honestly think Miss St was truly the #1 team in country?? Makes you wonder why committee didn't jump Oregon all the way to 1

Can't stand this guy

I was so hoping FSU would get beat tonight just to see what he had to say. I don't think there's any way FSU could beat Mississippi State.

We need to start a petition to get ESPN to give that guy his walking papers.

Some people questioned MSU's DB's. I honestly think they played a great game. They were glued to our receivers. Amari Cooper made a GREAT (Incredible) catch in between two of them.

Only seven teams left with one loss or less

FSU
Bama
State
Oregon
Ohio State
TCU
Baylor

FSU Vs Florida and Ga Tech in Acccg
Bama vs Auburn and UGA/Mizzou
State vs Vandy and Ole Miss
Ohio State vs Michigan and Wisconsin in CG
TCU vs Texas and Iowa St
Baylor vs Ok St, Texas Tech, K State
Oregon vs Oregon State and UCLA/Arizona or Ariz State

We may have one 2 loss team in Final Four

To me it's starting to look like:

1. Bama
2. FSU
3. Miss State
4. A 2 Loss Wisconsin team.....

And I think TCU falls to Texas. Ohio State falls to Wisconsin. Oregon falls to UCLA. Baylor falls to K State.

We were at the game yesterday. My thoughts/observations:

BDS was at its best. The stadium was FULL for 60 minutes and LOUD for 60 minutes. The fan base did its part to make it difficult for the visiting team. Our team was feeding off the fan energy.

The defense played heroically, but was tired at the end. It would have probably denied MSU at least one of the late touchdowns if the offense could have stayed on the field longer in the third quarter.

We were helped in the end by MSU's poor clock management.

There was an absolute army of recruits and their families at field level pre-game. If they weren't impressed yesterday, they are un-impressable.

The long 4th quarter drive reminded me of the late drive in the 2009 SECCG that drained the clock and took hope away from our opponent.

RTR!

Duke owns the tiebreaker over Georgia Tech

We discussed the time management in the last 2 minutes too. Decided it may have been Mullen realized the chance of winning was poor looking at the score and game performance. He probably wanted to at least score that td to keep it close and hope to hold on to a high ranking, maybe even top 4 with "The Committee."
