Just wanted to point out what a great player Edey is.

You can't say if he isn't 7'4" he wouldn't be good without realizing size is part of the game.

Would Brandon Miller be playing in the NBA if he was 5' 10" instead of 6' 10"?

Edey uses his size well. He's skilled and a great FT shooter.

You might not like the officiating today, but it's not Edey's fault. He played hard, but clean IMO.

Miller is listed at 6-7

He's definitely not 6' 7". Bama listed him at 6' 9".

I used him as an example for a reason. BM has a very low release point for a shooter of his caliber. It was even discussed while he was at Bama. If he's much shorter than he is he wouldn't be able to get his shot off as well.

But the point remains. Height is a part of basketball that separates players from elite players.

Same goes for another God-given ability: Jumping. Jordan played at 6' 6'' but he could jump out of the gym. He would have never been the player he was without his jumping ability. We get this point easily, but same goes for height.

We tried that and couldnt get the calls. There was one time Edey hooked Pringle on the should with Pringle with his hands up in there air yet Pringle get the foul. Edey was in his hometown, there was no fouling him out.

We used all our legs up in the first half and the 3s wouldnt in the 2nd half.

He definitely had better touch than I thought. And well was better than I thought he’d be too. I’m not sure why we didn’t go after him a little to start to try and get him in foul trouble or try to take charges.

Right. We don't really play 4s or 5s that way and certainly not posting with our backs to the basket. Nelson can back someone down off the dribble. Seems like when he and Edey were matched he did this a time or 2 but Edey normally matched up with Pringle or Wague if I recall.

We have a very, very difficult schedule. I think we have a pretty solid team that could develop into a very good team, but it could also be very easy to lose confidence if we continue to lose. If we are 6-5 after the next two games, it could be easy for the guys to begin doubting themselves or their coaches. I don't follow schedule rankings and those things, but I would think our schedule has to be the toughest. I have always liked a tough schedule to a point, but there have to be a few breaks in there. I worry about the same thing with our football schedule next year. Anyway, Roll Tide!

Well, it looks like we are 0-3 in Q1 games so far and maybe 0-5 by the time conference season starts. We may be a bubble team this year...

Anything is possible, we have a whole lot of season left to play. Interested to see where we are at the end of January
