Utah wins the toss and elects to receive. Defense gives up a quick first down before holding for the punt. Good return by Javy will set up a short field for a FG. 3-0 Bama
Utah has a decent second drive, getting inside the 35 before settling for a long field goal attempt. Just wide. Bama starts moving the ball well on this drive, with a big cut-back run by Coffee. A penalty and/or a dropped pass will cause the drive to stall, settling for another Leigh Tiffin field goal. 6-0 Bama.
Defense comes up with a big play on the ensuing drive forcing a 3 and out, and Javy has a decent return giving Bama the ball around mid-field. John Parker finds Julio on a great play-action pass for a 30+ yard touchdown. 13-0 Bama.
Utah has a good kickoff return, starting close to midfield. They find their rhythm, and a key 15 yard penalty will turn a third down stop into a first and goal for the Utes. They squeeze it into the endzone. 13-7 Bama.
Bama marches down the field, with Coffee finding the endzone after a long, 8 or 9 yard drive that eats up most of the second quarter. 20-7 Bama.
Utah gets the ball and shows some life running their hurry-up offense, getting a field goal just before the half. 20-10 Bama.
Bama gets the ball to start the second half and drives inside the Utes 30 yard line, when a controversial call helps stop the drive. Tiffin is good again, giving Bama a 23-10 lead.
On the next drive, Rashad makes a great read and intercepts the ball, giving Bama the ball on the plus side of the field. Ingram finds pay dirt this time, stretching the lead to 30-10.
Bama switches to ball control offense, while Utah begins to press. One long drive and another short field off a turnover will give Bama 14 more points, while Utah will score another TD late in the 4th.
