This may be indirectly good for Bediako. A blurb I saw on ESPN today

It's going to be all about Victor Wembanyamathis year for the Spurs, who experimented with different ways to use the No. 1 overall pick during his two-game stint in summer league. Also of note, the Spurs are listing Wembanyama as a forward on their roster -- not a forward/center or center. He'll certainly have his moments where he plays the five spot, but expect to see him guarding wings as well, as he did in Las Vegas. -- Lopez

I watched some of the Spurs/Rockets game last night. Wembanyana started at center. Bediako had no minutes.
the game went to OT, so no end of the bench guys got to play. Wembanyana is the real deal.

Pringle is the one that's being counted on to develop into thar player. To be fair, it took what ... two seasons before Beds was a factor as a rim protector/rebounder?

It's a work in progress, but Pringle just logging in one rebound during the Oregon game seems like a head-scratcher.

I pulled up the ESPN stats line on Bediako and see he has only appeared in two games for a total of 9 minutes. He has scored 4 points. Does anyone else have anything else?

Bediako waived by the Spurs. He should have stayed in school.

After I posted this, I saw another tweet that he has a knee injury. Hopefully he will recover and get his career back on track. I'm not sure that he ever was going to be a sure-fire NBA player but IMHO he had some bad advice and left to soon when he needed to develop his game some more in college to have had a better shot at being drafted and having a more legitimate shot at making a NBA roster.

Not a take on Beds but this got me thinking that hopefully more basketball scholar athletes will give more thought to extending their time in college and working on their skills. If our freshman core hangs in for two-three years, they should be phenomenal.
