Best/Worst SEC college towns

Worst

Aubarn- the smell from I-85 is to great to overcome when going into the cow city.

LSU- the stadium is a great place to go to a game but the city is a polluted dump.

Best-

Tuscaloosa- need not say more.

Vandy- the campus I don't know about but the city is pretty good in itself.

Agree, BR is a dump and the fans are horrible.

Knoxville has some great places to eat. My friends and I really like the Copper Cellar and Chesapeake's.

Maybe we are returning to the type of dominance over UT that propelled (along with lots of beer) my brother and I to get on chairs on either side of the jukebox in the Tap Room one Friday night before the Alabama-UT game and sing Sweet Home Alabama over and over with no fear. Well, it was either dominance or alcohol-fueled youthful stupidity.

Baton Rouge is not a small college town, nor is Nashville or Knoxville. They are major cities with industrial development, ghettos and other unsavory areas. Of course there are also sprawling nice neighborhoods with live oaks and tons of nice restaurants, live music, and shops. You should see the area Nick lived in just off campus. Hardly a ghetto.
