Embarrassing. The LSU players had every right to celebrate in the end zone a very tough, well fought game. Had they moved their celebration to midfield that would have been another matter!

Let's all remember this the next time we want to call other team's fans classless. Those students showed none then, and then abandoned the Quad, leaving it to the LSU fans for the rest of the Gameday updates... :mad2:

First, the cup throwing was embarrasing. I was in the student section and wished I was down near the frat boys who thought that was an appropriate way to respond to a hard fought game just so I could throw the cups back in their faces. Wouldn't you know it, the frat boys are living up to the reputation they've got around campus as the arrogant and spoiled ones... coongrats to them for giving LSU fans and other fans around the country a filtered look at typical Alabama fans.

As for the quad however, that's completely understandable. The last thing I wanted to do after losing our perfect season was go mingle with a bunch of LSU fans.

How can you say that it was the students' job to hold down the quad for Gameday. Where were any of the other fans at? Probably On the way home, cussing out Dave Rader for no reason. I wanted to go eat dinner, thats why I wasn't holding down the Quad, where were you?

Quad and Bowls

I was in the band and was in NO mood to be on the Quad. While I support our team 100% and that won't change, I was extremely tired and hungry. I DID have a scuffle with a fan on the way back to my tailgate...and won it.

As for the bowls, do you honestly think they care about what those students did? Maybe a little bit, but to people like that it's all about money and you know it. Alabama fans will follow their team anywhere, and those people know it. It's about the $$$

I hate that y'all are using the term "students" to describe those cup throwers. Obviously, that gives the student section a bad wrap. It was the frat boys, and it shows how classless THEY are. My suggestion: e-mail Dr. Tom Strong, Dean of Students (tstrong@sa.ua.edu) and let him know how disappointed you are in their actions on Saturday. Or, you could e-mail his boss, Vice-President of Student Affairs, Dr. Margret King (mking@sa.ua.edu). If it were up to me, I'd give them block seats way above the bottom 30 rows.

I'm tired of seeing the field littered with cups from one section.

That's a good point. It was NOT the student section, it was the Frats. While the Frat's are technically part of the student section, since they wish to exclude everyone from their section in the first place it's more than appropriate to single them out for their role in this disgrace.

I agree. The rest of the student section (and the rest of the stadium, for that matter) threw nothing.

I think it was poor sportsmenship to throw your drink ont he field. Take a loss like man. We have gone a far way from last year to now. But I do support my TIDE through and through. I was clapping my hands when the team was going back to the locker room after the game. I did say "Good Game" to some LSU fans showing good sportsmenship. I still think we can beat Auburn since anything can happen in the Iron Bowl. The Iron Bowl is the day of my birthday and a win of Awbarn will make it even more sweet for me and the rest of us Alabama fans. ROLL TIDE ROLL! Lets go to a a New Years day or BCS bowl!
