First thought, "What's she doing with a bicycle tire around her neck?" But then,. She must love her work, Bazza!

If it's a blacksnake, the average length is 40-70 inches.
If it's an indigo snake, then the average is 62-80 inches. Highly sought after as a zoo specimen and as pets.
Both non-venomous., of course.
Herpetology 101 class dismissed...

My 9th grade daughter is on the varsity soccer team at her HS. Backup goalie. Team will play in 3rd round (quarterfinals) next week for first time in school's girls varsity soccer history. Their coach played goalie at NC State back in the 90's and then coached D1 college at NC State and others for about 20 years. Coach is everything you would want in a coach.

Not my own child but my young 1st cousin just accepted a scholly to the world reknown Berklee College of Music in Boston. He's a world-class level ukelele player and has won international competitions. He's awesome.

My son Connor graduated from The University on Friday night. We are super proud of all of his hard work. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the College of Engineering with a degree in Computer Science. He worked so hard for the past three years to get to this point. He will now begin to work on his Master's Degree. The University has been a great school for him. They really did a wonderful job with the graduation ceremony. Everything was set up for efficiency and the majority of the people who were there were super nice.

Always great to see stories like this, @Con. I know you must be VERY proud....and rightly so!

Good looking kid and obviously has some brains!

Wishing your son the very best going forward, sir. (y)

This is a great thread, lots to be happy about!

Son 1 just finished first year of LSU med (New Orleans)with all honors. He graduated UA last may Summa Cum Laude majoring in Biology with a minor in Latin. Loved his time there, and he was involved in his fraternity as well as the IFC. He met a wonderful young lady who is in a OT masters program back in her home state of MO. She plans to move to Nola in a year when she graduates. They want to be engaged when she moves.

Son 2 finished up his first year at UA with all As as he works towards an aerospace engineering Degree. He is in the 5 year Stem MBA program. He is minoring in Ancient Greek and given what he was able to test out of, he only needs 6 more hours to complete that which he plans to get in the summer of 22 with UA’s study abroad in Greece. He is having fun and enjoying his fraternity, but ready for a more normal year. He has tickets to all home games next year.

They attended a catholic Hs in Nola that prepared them very well for college and life in general. Their minors are not by accident. Both took 4 years of Latin and Greek. Both were national merit finalists and the UA scholarship is amazing. Both attend Catholic Mass weekly and bible study with friends.

Despite all of the above, they’re still traitors. Ha. We love them and we have grown to love UA.

That's outstanding, @LSUgrad2BamaDad !

My optometrist is Greek and she's amazing.

I took two years of Latin in high school and really enjoyed it.

You have much to be proud of.

Congrats and best to you and yours for continued success! 👍
