Braves won and are 0.5 games back again.
I'm so unbelievably frustrated right now with Snitker.
No scratch that.... I'm Ticked.
He has now blown like THREE pivotal games in row where he brought Jansen into save.
Janses STINKS. I don't know how else to put it. He either has the Yips or he's just washed up but he has ONE freaking pitch.... a Mediocre Cutter.... and if it's not moving then opposing teams HAMMER the Flat hanging pitches that find the strike zone or they Walk because he can't throw a strike.
Iglesias is CLEARLY the better option and Snitker REFUSES to use him or even TRY him as the Closer.
After the Seattle fiasco he defiantly proclaimed how Jansen is the Best Closer in the NL and leads it in Saves..... never mind he also leads the NL in BLOWN SAVES.
A closer should not have an ERA near FOUR with a WHIP over 1.100 and a BB/9 of 3.2
That means on avg every 2 appearances he pitches at LEAST One run scores. Then every single appearance at LEAST One runner reaches base and Once every 3 appearances it's from a Walk..... but that's just his avg.... he's been WAY WORSE than that lately.
In his last 15 games he has an ERA of 4.6, a Whip of 1.46 and a BB/9 of 5.45!!!
He is TERRIBLE
Iglesias with the Braves has an ERA of 0.54, a Whip of 0.720 and a BB/9 of 2.2
THAT'S A FREAKING CLOSER'S NUMBERS
Snitker is the DUMBEST Braves manager I've ever witnessed and also one of the DUMBEST MLB managers ever.
He is an IDIOT.
I'm so damn tired of this nonsense.
If the Mets weren't melting down against the Dirt worst teams in the NL we'd already be multiple games behind again.
There is NO WAY we can make it out of the WC/Divisional round of the playoffs with Jansen closing.

The Mets have faceplanted against the dregs of the NL and the Braves have responded by going 2-4 vs the Mariners and Giants.....
Acuna, Riley, and Olson continue to contribute nothing at the plate lately and Dansby is his usual erratic self too.
If it weren't for Money Mike, Grissom, and Grossman we wouldn't have the ability to score runs at all.
We need a New Hitting coach or something because there is no reason a lineup as talented as ours can't manufacture runs.
Acuna and Riley especially should be .300 hitters.... Olson should probably be a .265-.275 type of guy.
Our HR or nothing approach is maddening and we have some of the worst plate discipline in general I've ever seen.
We need another Starting pitcher too...
I mean Fried, Wright, and Strider are dependably consistent in giving quality starts but Morton and Odorizzi seemingly give up at least 4 runs or more every time they take the mound.
I'm starting to really doubt we can do anything this post-season but get eliminated... QUICKLY.
Only have 3 Legit starters, Can't consistenly create Offense unless the Ball is flying out, and have No CLOSER because Snitker won't make the change.
Injuries have plagued us too.... Albies out....Duvall out...Soroka out... Acuna less than 75% all the time.
It's depressing.
I think we are going to get healthy at the right time. Albies is going to help us. Not sure what Soroka has but we will see. Have faith! We have a great team.
We've been in a spiral ever since blowing a pivotal game against the Mariners.
It was a late comeback by the Braves to take the lead and then Snitker brought in Jansen to save and he Blew it by giving up 2 Solo HR's and Braves still haven't recovered.
It's the Third time in a few weeks that Jansen has Blown a crucial game and he's been just awful for a few months now.
It was a terrible west coast road trip in general. The Braves started off 3-0 and then finished 1-4 for a 4-4 record.
But the problem is because we can't seal close wins the Braves are only winning lately when the Lineup is hot and hitting HRs.
We need a new closer and a better approach at the plate.
Don't get me wrong, as a Cubs I enjoy seeing bad things happen to the Mets but the Braves, they need to get it together. I cannoth stomach a Dodgers .v. Yankees/Astros World Series.
