That would have been my second choice.
As a former GSC player/coach we definitely have some interesting names...
Like the idea. Love the name. However, This picture of SuperGrover seems fishy. I seem to recall him wearing a red cape. The Seasame Street this pic came from must have been in San Fran. How about the Ole Miss Super GROVErs??

Can't leave out the Arkansas Tech "Wonder Boys".As a former GSC player/coach we definitely have some interesting names...
Southern Arkansas "Muleriders"
Arkansas Monticello "Boll Weevils"
Delta State "Fighting Okra"
just to name a few...
I would have to buy some a couple of shirts too.I won't switch teams or anything that drastic, but Ole Miss will move to a solid #2 Favorite for me in the conference if they actually choose Admiral Ackbar as their new mascot. I will buy merchandise, everything....

That's a good one, Grover is my favorite, I have two of them, a big one from Macy's a few years ago, and a smaller one from Seseme Place. How about the Ole Miss Super GROVErs??

But can he stop the inside trap?:cool2:I'd go with Ackbar.
He's wily and he knows about traps.
Delta State is officially the Statesmen, but at all football and basketball games; there are 2 mascots....one dressed up like a Statesman, and the Fightin' Okra pictured in the link. A girl I went to high school with was actually the Fightin' Okra for a couple of games our senior year. Although I admit, I never refer to Delta State as the Statesmen, its always the Okra for this guy!!!!!!!!:BigA:
But...UC Santa Cruz is DIII...there could still be The Ole Miss Banana Slugs in the SEC!:biggrin::biggrin:Unfortunately, "Banana Slugs" is already taken.
UC Santa Cruz let their students vote.
