I agree. Lane is adapting. Kirby is still trying to replicate what his boss did, even though his boss understood that he couldn’t do it that way anymore. Kirby is about one or two years away from being Dabo.

The difference between Dabo and Kirby are multi-faceted. Dabo isn't close to being near Kirby when it comes to recruiting. I also think Kirby is a far better X and O's guy. Dabo lost his best coach in Venables and never recovered.

I mean Dabo’s top recruits could go toe to toe with just about anyone’s. His recruiting has fallen off of late, but there’s no denying the offensive and defensive talent he brought in a few years ago.
