The 1905 College Football National Champion was the
Chicago Maroons. Led by coach Amos Alonzo Stagg, Chicago finished the season with an 11–0 record and defeated previously unbeaten Michigan 2–0 in the final game of the season to secure the title, which was awarded by the
Helms Athletic Foundation (HAF) and the
National Championship Foundation (NCF).
