Tua doesn't go back into the Miss State game.
I've wondered about this one before but I'm not sure it had a big ripple effect.

I say this because that led to Mac being thrown into the fire for the rest of that season and prepared him bigtime for 2020.

Plus I'm not sure we beat 2019 LSU in the Playoff. Maybe we do but it's not high odds that it happens.

So maybe at best we do get a rematch and win the 2019 NC but then we don't win the 2020 NC because Mac's development is delayed.

Plus Tua still got drafted high in the NFL.

But even saying all of that I do wish the play never happened to Tua.

I will give you 2...

2021 - The play Jamo got hurt on. If he stays healthy, we repeat as NC.
2013 - Not converting the 3rd and short that ultimately lead to the Kick 6.

2 NCs missed right there and not having a chaperone for Kiffin the week of the semi playoff against Washington. 2 3peats right there...

The bold part was the ripple effect. Maybe we don't win in 2020? What impact does that have?

I just meant because the concept is 1 play changing CFB history in a big way.

Tua going down doesn’t guarantee that 2019 ends different but it might affect 2020.

So at worst Bama doesn’t win any NC’s in 2019 or 2020 and at best maybe they win both but it’s also just as likely they cancel each other out.

Maybe I’m misinterpreting the concept though.

I thought it was geared towards leading to a team winning multiple NC’s in short time frame or preventing another team from doing the same.

Like a massive ripple effect.

Again though I’m wrong often so don’t mind me...lol

I don't remember the year. Bama vs. ND in one of the bowls. ND is slightly ahead and clock is winding down. ND has the ball deep in their end of the field. If Bama stops ND on 3rd and long, they kick to Bama and I was confident Bama scores for the win. But... Tom Clement completes a pass from their end zone... First down, and ND runs out the clock.
OK... Maybe not an earth-shaking event in the world order, but I still remember it. Or think I do, anyway.

Well if we win nothing in 2019 or 2020 that means no titles since 2017. This could impact recruiting (I think we still have Bryce) but it could impact recruiting or even coaching. Maybe Sark stays another year? Maybe the BoB experiement never happens? Maybe after winning nothing for 6 years Saban goes to watch the ducks?

What if Prothro doesn’t suffer that horrific injury vs Florida in 2005?

And I am not referring to changing the national championship. We wouldn’t have jumped either USC or Texas.

But chances are we finish 13-0. We nearly beat LSU as it was. Auburn was a different story but with a healthy Prothro? Although losing JB Closner vs Mississippi State was a huge blow as well and Taylor Britt struggles badly against AU’s front.

But; IF we finish 13-0….

IF a healthy Prothro returns in 2006…

Shula is perhaps not fired….

I dare not speculate any further.

One better question might be what if JB Closner doesn't get hurt against MSU? They he plays against LSU and Auburn and Brodie doesn't take as many sack.
