I know the guy, Bill Brown, mentioned in the article. He’s correct in what he said. The arsenic mcl is 10 ppb since 2003. OTOH PFAS is a big deal and I expect (hope) EPA will set an MCL soon.This is fine.

Trinity, AL is a western suburb of Decatur. There is a big PFOA lawsuit now against 3M for dumping PFOAs in far excess of their permit. As of the beginning of this month, it appeared they may have settled with Decatur and Morgan County...I know the guy, Bill Brown, mentioned in the article. He’s correct in what he said. Their water supply is Groundwater, and a fair amount of the aquifer recharge is from the north, in the general area of Fort Hood.

Daikin is still there, but no one is making R-22 and HCFC-22 any more. That stopped with 1/1/'20. It still can be captured and recycled in order to keep old units running. Believe it or not, the largest consumers are freezer cases in supermarkets. I think the Thunderbird is under a subdivision. I didn't know you grew up around there. Here's what's left of it. Pull down until you can see "Old Trinity Road"...Is the Thunderbird Drive-In still there.
