Has anyone heard anything along the lines of this young man and LSU getting in trouble for illegal contact. Apparently, he wanted to or is transfering to LSU from UAB, and I heard the NCAA is looking at it. This may be just a rumor.

He is one I was hoping would transfer to UA (he and James Barksdale at UNA). He had an outstanding Freshman year leading off for UAB.

Other players I would love to hear were transfering to UA:
Clint Robinson - 1B (Troy)
Brantley Clark - OF (Montevallo)

Although, I haven't heard any rumors of anyone transfering in.

Only transfer news I saw is that Doug Denson has transferred to Samford. Can't blame him, with as crowded as the staff is at Alabama and he can go be one of Samford's best pitchers for the next three years.

but I just hope this doesn't become common place, our players knowing there is a spot for them on Casey Dunn's team. Let me just say I would feel better about it if he were going to NW State.

Has anyone heard anything about former Vestavia catcher Martin Evans possibly transferring to Alabama? He started out at Tennessee, where he redshirted in '04, but left the team prior to last season. I know he has connections to the University (his father teaches a couple of classes at the law school), and we are definitely in need of some depth behind the plate.
