Me either, but I wouldn't put it past him to say something like that. I once had the "displeasure" of caddying for him and my uncle when I was in JUCO in Marianna, Fl. in the late 80's. He is a "piece of work" to be nice on a family forum.Sorry but I just don't believe this story, even though I'd love for it to be true. In this day and age, something like that caught on tape would be all over the news already. Yet, tidefans is the only place where this is mentioned. It doesn't do any good for the media guy to keep the tape a secret. IDK, I just want believe it until it is talked about on more then just a Bama forum.
If it did happen, then this and Ole Miss losing have just made it a great start to the college football weekend!
I had no idea that services were that much more expensive than in Walker County? :cool2:He then said "We're in Chambers County and I probably can have your throat cut for $500.00".
Correct! And Tuberville was smart enough to get his money up front, instead of having to depend on the dole, like Dye, Hall, Little Bowden, etc...I'm struggling to figure out what was so bad about him saying Tubberville quit coaching a few years ago. I thought everyone already knew this?
That is very true. I've always thought that at the end of the day, Tubberville was the big winner in that whole mess.Correct! And Tuberville was smart enough to get his money up front, instead of having to depend on the dole, like Dye, Hall, Little Bowden, etc...
I thought you left the name under a rock somewhere in Jasper and a six pack and a half working pushmower would get the job done. ********!!!Going rate is a case of beer? Yeah, I don't doubt that somebody told the original poster that this happened and I am not attacking his credibility, but until I see some evidence, I am chalking this one up as way to hard to believe.
That's not how its done anymore. Just leave the name and a bag of quarters next to the charity bingo joint.I thought you left the name under a rock somewhere in Jasper and a six pack and a half working pushmower would get the job done. ********!!!
LOLThat's not how its done anymore. Just leave the name and a bag of quarters next to the charity bingo joint.![]()
LOL!Pat Dye's not man enough to order a hit on a member of the media.
I'm with you on this one. No proof = rumor. Sounds like Finebaum material.I'm glad I'm not the only person on here who isn't buying this! Pat Dye is a lot of things but totally stupid isn't one of them!
Also, no member of the media would have to ask what to do with the tape...they would immediately go to the police and have his butt arrested and then they'd file a civil suit too!
Sorry, not buying any of it.
This is a fact and was witnessed by many that attended...Coach Pat Dye was the featured speaker at the Auburn Club meeting in Valley, AL...He was speaking about how happy he was that Auburn had a coach now that actually coached...He said that Tubberville stopped coaching a few years ago...He stopped and said maybe I shouldn't have said that and said well, we are all friends here and no media is here, are there?
Some of the attendees pointed out that there was a media person there filming the meeting that had been invited by the Auburn Club President...Dye lost his mind and demanded that the camera be turned off and he wanted the videotape...The media person refused and Dye said "I'm from Macon County and can have you killed for $10,000.00". He then said "We're in Chambers County and I probably can have your throat cut for $500.00".
The crowd was stunned but the meeting continued...Now, this is an Auburn represenative basically making a terroristic threat to someone...I have spoken with the media person about this and he really dosen't know what he needs to do but he has one year to sign a warrant if he wants.
